ATP Rosmalen Quarterfinal Predictions Including David Goffin vs Adrian Mannarino

David Goffin ATP Rosmalen

One second round match remains to be finished as Nicolas Jarry awaits the winner of Richard Gasquet vs Mikhail Kukushkin. Nevertheless, three other quarterfinals are planned for Friday, and hopefully the weather is not going to stand in the way this time. Who will advance to the semifinals?

ATP Rosmalen Quarterfinal Predictions

Alex De Minaur vs Jordan Thompson

Head-to-head: De Minaur 2-0

A battle of the Aussies in a quarterfinal of a grass court tournament is not that surprising, but Jordan Thompson beating Frances Tiafoe was something not many would predict. De Minaur’s clay court campaign was a disaster and he has to be very happy to be back to a comfortable surface. They met in two consecutive weeks this January with the younger Aussie comfortably edging his opponent in straight sets. Don’t expect it to be different this time around, De Minaur is outrageously fast and can counterpunch his way through his compatriot once again.
Prediction: De Minaur in 2

Borna Coric vs Christian Garin

Head-to-head: First meeting

Garin, a holder of two clay-court titles in 2019, proved he is not a one-surface wonder by defeating the likes of Robin Haase and Salvatore Caruso in his first two matches. Meanwhile, Coric came through a very tough encounter against Taylor Fritz and as a current holder of a grass court title in Halle (defeated Roger Federer) he should be a step too far for Garin. The Croat has a very good serve and if he can follow it them with aggressive groundstrokes he should win this pretty comfortably.
Prediction: Coric in 2

David Goffin vs Adrian Mannarino

Head-to-head: Goffin 4-0

This match features two players that can adapt their games to grass very easily. The difference is that Goffin has actual weapons, whereas Mannarino mostly tries to outsmart his opponents by exploiting the geometry of the court to its full extent. The Belgian’s ball-striking is excellent at the moment. He has the ability to take the ball very quick off the bounce, and it looks like after about two years of struggling he might be getting back to his peak form.
Prediction: Goffin in 2
