Adolfo Daniel Vallejo vs Stefano Travaglia
Head-to-Head: First meeting
Vallejo continues to impress as one of South America’s brightest young prospects. The Paraguayan has climbed the rankings steadily this season with strong clay performances, reaching the Bastad quarterfinals with confident, well-rounded play. He constructs points patiently but strikes decisively when opportunities arise.
Travaglia’s return to ATP Tour-level competition has been solid. The Italian battled through qualifying and into the last eight, relying on his experience and heavy forehand. Clay remains his strongest surface, and he has sharpened up as the week progressed.
This matchup should deliver physical rallies, but Vallejo’s superior movement and recent momentum give him the edge in the closing stages.

Nuno Borges vs Luciano Darderi
Head-to-Head: Borges 3-0 Darderi
Borges has assembled another consistent season, proving himself one of the Tour’s most reliable players. The Portuguese adapted smoothly back to clay after Wimbledon, using a strong serve, clean ball-striking, and excellent court coverage to reach the quarterfinals. His blend of aggression and consistency makes him tough to beat in these conditions.
Darderi has enjoyed another strong clay campaign. The Italian excels when dictating with his heavy forehand from the baseline and carries confidence into Bastad after productive results on his favorite surface. If he finds rhythm early, his firepower can trouble Borges.
It promises to be one of the day’s closest contests, but Borges’ greater variety, stronger return game, and perfect head-to-head record should see him through another competitive battle.

Alejandro Tabilo vs Thiago Agustin Tirante
Head-to-Head: Tabilo 3-1 Tirante
Tabilo has looked increasingly comfortable since returning to clay. The Chilean’s left-handed serve and ability to change direction off both wings make him dangerous when striking cleanly. He has shown throughout the season that he can elevate his level against quality opposition on this surface.
Tirante has had another productive clay season. The Argentine is an excellent mover who competes relentlessly and has developed into a reliable ATP performer. His confidence has grown with each round in Bastad, and he possesses the patience for long exchanges.
Both have the tools for clay success, but Tabilo’s variety and ability to finish points on his terms should prove decisive.

Andrey Rublev vs Sebastian Baez
Head-to-Head: Baez 1-0 Rublev
Their only prior meeting came in Bastad four years ago, when Baez won in straight sets. Both have evolved significantly since, setting up an intriguing rematch with a semifinal spot on the line.
Rublev dug deep to reach the quarterfinals, recovering impressively after squandering match points in the previous round. He regrouped strongly in the decider, unleashing his powerful forehand with renewed conviction. Returning to clay after Wimbledon appears to have restored his rhythm.
Baez remains one of the Tour’s most dependable clay performers. His exceptional movement, baseline consistency, and ability to absorb pace make him very difficult to break down. He arrives confident after already beating Rublev at this event years ago.
Expect long, physical rallies — Baez extending points while Rublev tries to dominate with his forehand. Despite Baez’s positive history here, Rublev’s improved level and growing confidence this week suggest he can turn the tables.
