Shane Nand is a Bay Area native, where he graduated from San Francisco State University. With a feverish personality, he makes it his mission to win everyone over even if it takes some time. He developed a love for writing at a young age and remains committed to sharpening his craft to create entertaining pieces. As a sports enthusiast, he could not be more excited to write on topics that he loves and share it with a like-minded audience. When Shane’s not writing or working, he’ll probably catch a movie in theaters or go out for a drive on Highway One (not happening currently for obvious reasons).
Born and raised in the Bay Area, he bleeds red and gold in the fall, blue and gold during winter, and black and orange in the summer. He’ll even throw in the teal and white during hockey season. Does he think Alex Smith was dealt the most horrible hand in sports, despite being an amazing human being? Yep. Should Farhan Zaidi have traded MadBum before the trade deadline last year? Absolutely. And don’t even get him started on the travesty of the Warriors’ 2019-20 season! Also, yes, he can talk about other teams beyond his home market. He’ll primarily be writing about football here at Last Word on Pro Football for obvious reasons.
