The fantasy football season is approaching the playoffs in a couple of weeks. It is time to make a playoff push and prepare for them. Some leagues have already hit their trade deadline, but for those that haven’t, here is the Buy/Sell Report for Week 13 of the Fantasy Football Season.
Fantasy Football Buy/Sell Week 13
Buy: Cade Otton
Otton only had one catch for 30 yards on three targets in the Week 12 victory for the Buccaneers. The return of Mike Evans took targets away from Otton, and Bucky Irving had six catches out of the backfield too. However, the Buccaneers have a good upcoming schedule with the Panthers and the Raiders in the next two weeks.
Those two teams are in the top three for the most fantasy points allowed to tight ends this season. Otton should be able to get back on track next week, so try to buy low on him if you need a tight end for the stretch run.
Buy: Calvin Ridley
Ridley was mentioned in last week’s Buy/Sell Article, but he is worth mentioning again with his favorable upcoming schedule. He has the Commanders, Jaguars twice, Bengals and Colts in the next five weeks. All of these are great matchups for wide receivers. Try to trade for Ridley for the playoff push.
Buy: George Pickens
Pickens had his worst game with Russell Wilson as the quarterback, scoring 8.8 fantasy points. He had seven targets but was only able to catch four of them for 48 yards. It was snowing by the second half, making it hard to throw the football.
Pickens has a great stretch upcoming with the Bengals, Browns and Ravens in three of the next four weeks. All three of these defenses are in the top half for most fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. Trade for Pickens after his down game.
Sell: Terry McLaurin
McLaurin caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in a crazy game against the Cowboys. His 86-yard touchdown should have tied the game, but Austin Seibert missed the PAT. That touchdown salvaged McLaurin’s fantasy day, and he finished as a top-ten fantasy wide receiver on the week.

McLaurin plays the Titans next week, who are in the top five for the least fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. Following that, the Commanders have a bye in Week 14. If you need to win the next couple of weeks to get into the playoffs, try to sell high on McLaurin for a player with better matchups in the next couple of weeks.
Sell: D’Andre Swift
Swift was inefficient on his 13 carries, totaling only 30 rushing yards. He added three catches and 35 receiving yards to salvage his day. The Bears have a difficult run-defense schedule for the rest of the season.
They have to play the Lions twice in the next four weeks, who are the second-best fantasy run defense. Additionally, they play the Vikings again, who are the third-best fantasy run defense, and they just limited Swift this week. It is time to sell Swift.
Sell: Jaylen Waddle
Waddle finally had a good game, scoring 28.4 fantasy points, which was the first time since Week 1 that he scored double-digit points. It has been a disappointing season for managers who have held onto him. The Dolphins have some tough secondaries coming up, including the Packers and the Jets. Don’t expect Waddle to keep this up. Trade Waddle away after his season-best performance.
