Week 7 Quarterback Rankings Fantasy Football

Quarterback rankings, tiers, and analysis for Week 7 of the Fantasy Football season to make informed decisions to set your lineup.
quarterback Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The NFL season is in full swing, and it’s time to set your lineups for Week 7 of the fantasy football season. The quarterbacks on a bye this week are Dak Prescott and Caleb Williams. Anthony Richardson is questionable, while Derek Carr and Tua Tagovailoa are out with injuries. Below are the quarterback rankings, tiers, and analysis to help you navigate your lineup decisions for Week 7.

Quarterback Rankings for Week 7 Fantasy Football

Tier 1: Superstar Quarterbacks

1. Lamar Jackson
2. Jayden Daniels
3. Jalen Hurts
4. Josh Allen
5. Joe Burrow
6. Baker Mayfield

Jackson is the overall QB1 on the year but finished outside the top-ten in Week 6 for the first time this season. He has been playing great, throwing for over 300 passing yards in each of the last two games. An interception in Week 6 cost him a top-ten finish. However, Jackson is primed for a bounce-back in Week 7 against the Buccaneers. The Bucs have given up the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks on the season. They just gave up 243 passing yards to Spencer Rattler, who was making his first career NFL start. Jackson will get back on track with a big performance in Week 7, as he takes the top spot in the quarterback rankings.

Mayfield has been playing terrific this year, finishing in the top seven among fantasy quarterbacks five times. He’s posted three consecutive games with at least 23 fantasy points, including 25.9 points in Week 6 despite throwing three interceptions. Mayfield currently ranks as the overall QB2 through six weeks. In Week 7, he faces Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in what should be a high-scoring matchup. The Ravens have allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, making Mayfield a solid bet to continue his hot streak on Monday Night Football.

Tier 2: Low-End QB1s

7. Jordan Love
8. C.J. Stroud
9. Jared Goff
10. Sam Darnold
11. Brock Purdy
12. Patrick Mahomes

Love has been playing great in the three games since returning from injury. He has scored at least 25 points in two of the last three games. He threw for four touchdowns against the Cardinals in Week 6. Love has a good matchup against the Texans, who are in the top half of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Expect Love to continue his success.

Goff had an impressive performance in the Lions’ 47-9 blowout victory over the Cowboys, accumulating 315 passing yards and three touchdowns, resulting in 25.1 fantasy points. This marked his second consecutive game with at least 25 fantasy points. In Week 7, the Lions face a tougher challenge against a solid Vikings defense. However, while the Vikings’ run defense is elite, their passing defense is only average. This matchup will cause the Lions to rely more on Goff’s arm to move the ball, setting him up for another strong fantasy day.

Tier 3: High-End QB2s

13. Kyler Murray
14. Anthony Richardson**
15. Geno Smith
16. Kirk Cousins

Murray has not been great the last couple of weeks, scoring less than 15 points in three of the last four weeks. Week 7 starts a very difficult stretch for him, as he plays four of the top six defenses in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Given the challenging matchups ahead, Murray is a prime candidate to sell before his fantasy value potentially drops further. Murray is no longer ranked inside the top ten of the quarterback rankings, as he is expected to continue his struggles with this tough stretch of games.

Both Smith and Cousins had disappointing performances in Week 6, with Smith scoring 12.5 fantasy points and Cousins scoring 12.48. However, they now face each other in Week 7, which presents a much more favorable outlook for both quarterbacks.

Smith has been passing the ball heavily, attempting at least 40 passes in four of his last five games. The Falcons‘ defense has been vulnerable, allowing the sixth most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. This sets Smith up nicely to rebound from his Week 6 struggles.

Cousins will also need to air it out to keep pace with Smith and the Seahawks. Seattle’s defense has been shaky against the pass in recent games, giving Cousins a solid opportunity to perform better this week. Both quarterbacks have strong matchups, making them high-end QB2 options for Week 7. Expect them to put up solid numbers in what could turn into a high-scoring game.

**Denotes Questionable Status for Week 7 as Mentioned Above

Tier 4: Streaming Options

17. Justin Fields
18. Drake Maye
19. Trevor Lawrence
20. Daniel Jones

Maye had a rocky first NFL start, throwing for 243 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also rushed for 38 yards and lost a fumble. This led to 19.52 fantasy points on the day, which was good for QB9 on the week. Maye gets a dream matchup in Week 7 in London, against a Jaguars defense that has given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks on the year. The Jaguars just got torched by Caleb Williams, who threw for four touchdowns. Maye should have another strong fantasy start in his second career game.
