Week 4 Quarterback Rankings Fantasy Football: Josh Allen Reigns Supreme

Quarterback rankings, tiers, and analysis for Week 4 of the Fantasy Football season to make informed decisions to set your lineup.
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

The NFL season is in full swing, and it’s time to set your lineups for Week 4 of the fantasy football season. There are a few injuries to keep track of. Jordan Love and Justin Herbert are questionable with injuries, while Tua Tagovailoa is on the IR. Below are the quarterback rankings, tiers, and analysis for Week 4.

Bills’ Josh Allen Leads Week 4 Fantasy Football QB Rankings

Tier 1: Superstar Quarterbacks

1. Josh Allen
2. Jalen Hurts
3. Lamar Jackson
4. Kyler Murray
5. Jayden Daniels
6. C.J. Stroud

Jackson is the overall QB3 on the season after finishing as the QB4 in Week 3. He accomplished this while only throwing 15 times against the Dallas Cowboys. Jackson ran for 87 yards and one touchdown. He has finished inside the top ten in all three weeks. The Baltimore Ravens have a tougher matchup in Week 4 as they host the Bills, where Jackson will likely need to throw the ball more. He is an every-week top-three quarterback for the rest of the season.

Daniels had his second top-three fantasy finish of the season, scoring 28.06 points in the Monday Night Football win. He threw his first two career touchdown passes and added his third rushing touchdown of the year. Next week, he faces the Cardinals in what should be a high-scoring shootout. Daniels now sits firmly in the top tier of quarterback rankings for the foreseeable future.

Murray struggled in Week 3, finishing with only 14.78 fantasy points. Despite this, he remains the QB3 on the season and gets a dream matchup against the Washington Commanders in Week 4. The Commanders allow a lot of points and fantasy production to opposing teams. Murray and the entire offense should bounce back in Week 4 with a big game.

Tier 2: Low-End QB1s

7. Patrick Mahomes
8. Joe Burrow
9. Dak Prescott
10. Brock Purdy
11. Jordan Love*

Prescott finished Week 3 as the overall QB2 with 29.86 fantasy points. However, much of that production came in garbage time, as the Cowboys were trailing 28-6 early. He ended up throwing the ball 51 times. In Week 4, the Cowboys should be leading against the New York Giants. This remains a good matchup for Prescott, as the Giants’ secondary is not strong.

Purdy had his best game of the season in Week 3, finishing with 25.78 fantasy points for a top-five finish. He faces the New England Patriots in Week 4 who did not look great against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. Purdy jumps back into the top ten of the quarterback rankings for Week 4.

*Love could return this week in a big matchup against the Vikings. However, the Minnesota Vikings just shut down Stroud and the Houston Texans, so temper expectations for Love if he does return.

Tier 3: QB1 Upside

12. Anthony Richardson
13. Sam Darnold
14. Jared Goff
15. Derek Carr
16. Geno Smith
17. Matthew Stafford
18. Baker Mayfield

Richardson has scored single-digit fantasy points in back-to-back weeks after scoring 26.08 points in Week 1. He has a tough matchup in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have one of the best defenses in the league. Richardson could struggle again this week. Temper expectations for Richardson in Week 4 as he drops to tier three of the quarterback rankings.

Mayfield fell back to earth in Week 3, scoring just 8.52 fantasy points. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers struggled to get much going in their game. They face another tough matchup in Week 4 as they host the Philadelphia Eagles, who just shut down Derek Carr. Mayfield drops to the bottom of tier three for Week 4.

Tier 4: Deep Streaming Options

19. Daniel Jones
20. Trevor Lawrence
21. Justin Fields
22. Aaron Rodgers

Jones has put together two strong weeks in a row, finishing with 18.32 and 19.44 fantasy points, respectively. He faces the Cowboys in Week 4, a team that hasn’t looked good in the last two weeks. Jones is a sneaky sleeper play in Week 4.

Rodgers topped 20 fantasy points for the first time since 2021, despite playing the entire 2022 season. He has a tough matchup in Week 4 against a Denver Broncos defense that was great against the Buccaneers. Rodgers is someone to keep an eye out for the rest of the season as a potential QB streamer in favorable matchups.
