The Chicago Bears (1-0) look for a second win against the Houston Texans (1-0) for Sunday Night Football at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Caleb Williams avoided the costly plays in his NFL debut. Meanwhile, CJ Stroud was one of the better passers in Week 1. However, both teams won by a single possession and have a lot of room for improvement.

Bears vs Texans Prediction
Score Prediction: Texans 31, Bears 24
The Houston offense was the second-best last week in terms of productions with 417 total yards. Moreover, they were able to get the ground game going with a league-high 213 yards rushing. Stroud may be an MVP candidate, but Joe Mixon finished with 159 yards off 30 carries. They’ll look to keep a balanced approach throughout the rest of the season and will ultimately be able to keep away against a lot of teams.
Conversely, Williams didn’t reach the century mark, but he took care of the football. D’Andre Swift will need to have a bigger impact as he finished with only 30 rushing yards off 10 carries. More concerning is that this Chicago team allowed a bottom-half 144 yards against on the ground against what many view is a weak Tennessee Titans team. Finally, Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen are dealing with injuries. The new starting QB may need to already be spectacular in order to pull off the win.

Texans Moneyline (-275)
Houston is overall more talented, and they showed in Week 1 that they can still come up with big plays in the clutch. Furthermore, even if the score was closer than anticipated, they still were able to move the ball up and down the field. An outright win by the underdogs would easily be the shock of the season so far.
Over 45 (-105)
However, this is still a Houston team that gave up 303 total yards to the Indianapolis Colts. That game ended in a 29-27 shootout. The offense appears ahead of the defense so far for DeMeco Ryans. Additionally, Williams may not have the big arm of Anthony Richardson, but he does have the big play ability. A lot of points will be scored when both offenses get in a flow tonight.
Texans -6 (-110)
That being said, it’s hard to see this developing Chicago team to be able to match their opponent stride for stride. Houston is a legitimate AFC contender. Scoring will not be an issue, but making the final plays and getting the critical stops is asking a little too much from the visitors on the road tonight.
Bears vs Texans Prop Bets with BetMGM
Joe Mixon Over 75 Rushing Yards (+100)
The running back is being leaned on. Furthermore, it’s hard to see him going from 30 carries and comfortably over 100 yards to not breaking this mark. They’ll either use the run to open up the pass, or will have a lead and need to bleed out the clock. Either way, this is something of a safe pick.
Nico Collins Over 75 Receiving Yards (+105)
The wide receiver had 117 yards off six receptions in Week 1. Stroud has chemistry and looks to get the former Michigan Wolverines player the ball. He’s going to have plenty of opportunities against this Chicago defense and may push 100+ on the day in the stat column.
