The Los Angeles Chargers or New Orleans Saints May Sign rehabbing cut candidate wide receiver, Tim Patrick this upcoming season. According to a report, one source believes that the Denver Bronco veteran could be in a new uniform since they could release him. Patrick has been missing the past two seasons with injuries so there’s no question why the Broncos may be moving on especially if they see he isn’t improving from this year’s training camp. It’s not entirely his fault after suffering those injuries since he hasn’t been able to prove that he still can go in this league.
However, the Broncos and Patrick were able to agree to a pay cut even though he’s coming back for a one-year deal this offseason. It seems like they may keep him around but when you have Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, Marvin Mims Jr. and rookie Troy Franklin, it would make sense to release at least one of their wideouts. It would be up to the rest of the eighth wide receivers for the final two spots on the 53-man roster, including Devaughn Vele and Phillip Dorsett. If the Broncos are going younger at the receiver position then that could spell trouble for Patrick even though he’s only on for a one-year contract.
They have no reason to release him since they would only be able to free $1.125 million. This would intrigue the Chargers since they don’t have a top dollar for a receiver like Brandon Aiyuk. It would help fellow wideout DJ Chark in the slot to test the waters. However, the Saints are receiver-less regardless if they have Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and A.T. Perry but half of those targets are unreliable.
Here are some other potential destinations that could give Patrick a boost in his career.

Other Potential Destinations
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens knew they were taking a gamble on a veteran last season after acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. on a one-year deal just like they’re doing with Nelson Agholor. They could afford someone like Patrick to insure the wide receiver position even though they have a solid Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. However, Bateman hasn’t been able to replicate what Flowers has been doing and most were seeing that last season. It was a little surprising that the Ravens saw something in him so Patrick could be that emergency free-agent pick if he becomes available.
Patrick still has a large question mark and runs at a risk for Lamar Jackson’s offense but when you put it together with one of the best teams in the AFC, it might work out.
Dallas Cowboys
The organization doesn’t have a lot of spending money to splurge to improve their team. Dallas still has to worry about what they’re going to do with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb so this means don’t expect to make a splash trade or signing. With Lamb holding out, they should be able to sign one cheap emergency wideout like Patrick if becomes available to help Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert. Even though Tolbert has been impressive at training camp, no one should assume he will be a long-term starter.
Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young has the ingredients and the right assets to lead this team to at least a wild-card round. However, they could use some extra assistance if Xavier Legette is still dealing with more injuries this upcoming season. The Panthers should take the safe route and take Patrick if available on a one-year deal so Legette has someone alongside him to learn from.
