The Carolina Panthers or New Orleans Saints may trade for $135 million edge rusher, Joey Bosa this upcoming season even though he’s coming back on a new deal. According to a report, one source is suggesting the possibility of Bosa heading to the Philadelphia Eagles in the middle of the season. Bosa may be generous by coming back on a new contract to help save the Chargers money but it doesn’t mean the team won’t consider trading him at all if they feel like moving on. Bosa has shockingly been in numerous trade rumors even though he’s staying with the Chargers so the team may consider it since they have a new regime after departing with Mike Williams and Keenan Allen.
However, he’s been struggling with injuries for the past two seasons and they were opening the door for a trade but no one was offering. Bosa may carry weight to wherever he lands but it doesn’t mean he’s not one of the better edge rushers in the league. If the Chargers continue to see a lack of production from Bosa, then the decision could come down to either releasing him or a trade. However, it would be logical for Jim Harbaugh to consider a trade so he gets as many draft picks to build a new roster.
The Panthers are another team that needs an edge rusher to help alongside Shaq Thompson and Jadeveon Clowney. These two starters should give the team enough firepower on defense but they shouldn’t get complacent with what they have. New Orleans are bringing in Chase Young on a one-year deal but it’s a matter of what he will do come week one if he still has what he could provide. Here are some other potential trade fits for Bosa.

Other Potential Trade Fits
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens still have one of the best defenses despite losing Patrick Queen and Clowney this offseason. However, they haven’t been able to find replacements for none of them so it might be safe to assume they could make a blockbuster trade in the middle of the season. It’s hard to imagine the Chargers sending Bosa to another AFC team but it might happen if they fall out of the playoff race. It would make Los Angeles start thinking about what they could gain if they were to get a draft pick in return if they trade Bosa.
Justin Madubuike and Roquan Smith are two physical hitters but things could be spicy if they were to add Bosa to make this the ultimate trio.
Dallas Cowboys
It’s hard to see the Cowboys walking into this year with no legit edge rusher other than Micah Parsons but they already lost Dante Fowler Jr. and Dorance Armstrong. This means Dallas is lacking pressure for opposing offenses and since Demarcus Lawrence is heading toward the free-agent market, it’s safe to assume he’ll be wearing another uniform in 2025. If the team wants the win football games and they’re struggling midseason then it would be safe to look for any edge rusher that may be on the trade block. It’s a mystery if Bosa were to come to Dallas but Jerry Jones may become the magician to save the team’s season.
However, they still have to worry about extending Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb so they would need to get creative of paying him.
Kansas City Chiefs
It would be a nightmare if the Chargers were to send Bosa to the back-to-back defending Super Bowl Champions but never say never. Chris Jones is coming back on a massive extension so it may be looking like a brick wall for other offenses to sustain if Bosa joins the Chiefs. He isn’t in his prime anymore but the thought of Bosa teaming with Kansas City to potentially go up against his brother Nick Bosa for one Super Bowl would send shockwaves.
