The Los Angeles Chargers or Carolina Panthers may land fan-favorite cut candidate, Deuce Vaughn this upcoming NFL Training Camp. According to a report, the Cowboys may be on the horizon of cutting one of the favorite playmakers after instantly becoming popular after his draft selection. It’s quiet for America’s team after barely making any moves to improve their roster so the unpredictable could happen even cutting down one of their players to lock in the 53-man. Many fans have been seeing early signs of potential he could bring after returning a 30-yard kick in the preseason opener last August.
However, all of that could evaporate quickly since the running back hasn’t been able to get anything going this past season. The outlook of the room that includes Ezekiel Elliott, Royce Freeman Rico Dowdle and Malik Davis looks weak right now. It probably won’t help Vaughn’s chances if the Cowboys decide to add another running back to the mix if they feel it needs more improvement. No one should knock out that possibility but the training staff will eventually see how everything will play out this month and make decisions before this upcoming preseason.
Elliott and Dowdle are locks for this roster so the challenge is for Vaughn to make a spot or he may find himself on the practice squad. However, the Chargers could consider adding a No. 3 running back since Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins seemingly don’t bring a lot of reliability to the team. They have a history of injuries so they might as well add a cost-effective option like Vaughn to add support. The Panthers running back room may be loaded but Miles Sanders may be on the trade block this before this upcoming year.
Here are other potential destinations for Deuce Vaughn.

Possible Next Teams
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs should not stop getting creative in their running game as long as they have Patrick Mahomes around. This is why it shocks many why they’re bringing Jerick McKinnon if he was key in situational plays like end-around routes and play-action. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is coming back but he hasn’t been anything special to enforce some mojo and speed to this offense. He’s only solid if the Chiefs need a backup running back and he’s there for that but it may be safe to put him in there on goal-line yardage plays.
Isiah Pacheco is the speedster and isn’t losing his No. 1 roster spot so one more replica of him would help boost the production of this team’s running game. Vaughn is the perfect player for the type of speed that Mahomes is looking for so this destination may make sense.
Baltimore Ravens
Derrick Henry is getting a huge role when he begins his debut in Baltimore this upcoming season. However, he isn’t getting any younger so he needs some type of insurance policy behind him in case he needs some relief. Keaton Mitchell is coming back but he’s recovering from a season-ending injury so no one should expect him to be 100% come week one. Vaughn would be the perfect addition as RB3 to get some speed going behind Henry.
New Orleans Saints
It’s not the biggest need for the Saints since they have Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams but it does make sense to get as much help for a lackluster offense. Derek Carr doesn’t have a lot of options in the passing game so they might as well build a strong running game. The Saints don’t have a lot of cap space so adding a cheap Vaughn could pay off in the future.
