Here is how the Los Angeles Rams may trade for $140 million All-Pro Playmaker, Davante Adams this offseason.

The Los Angeles Rams may trade for $140 million All-Pro playmaker Davante Adams this offseason. According to a report, sources indicate that the Rams could shock the league by making this trade happen to pair with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. Considering the season the stellar receivers were having last year, it probably would make them Super Bowl favorites if this move happens. The Rams are fortunate to have one of the best quarterbacks today, Matthew Stafford still making plays on the field.

They were already shocking the league last year by sneaking into the NFC Playoffs with a 10-7 record. This move would probably make them compete with the Lions for the NFC Championship for years. However, the Rams must figure out how to get through the former defending NFC champions, the San Francisco 49ers. The NFC is getting competitive so Adams joining Kupp and Nacua would make this roster go on a solid run for a Super Bowl.

Nacua and Kupp broke two NFL rookie records last season by hauling in 105 receptions for 1,486 yards. One can imagine what these receivers can do when Adams is in the mix. The defense is already facing questions after Aaron Donald’s retirement so they may be shaping up their offense that would make every defense struggling to stop. It’ll be difficult to pull off a trade since training camp is around the corner but it wouldn’t be impossible.

Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport suggests that the Rams should trade a first-round pick for Adams who’s been stuck playing for a mediocre quarterback. Adams playing for Stafford would give him a legit run in the playoffs and a nice roster that can work well for chemistry. Rams don’t need him but it makes their chances easier.

Other Potential Trade Destinations

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are still in the market for a wide receiver since releasing Michael Gallup and needing to extend CeeDee Lamb. The depth doesn’t look promising for Dak Prescott, who still needs a new deal too heading into this upcoming year. It seems like Dallas may be tanking this season since there aren’t many reliable weapons in the passing game. Last year, many sources were urging and predicting that Dallas may trade for Adams to help supplement the receiving corps.

However, things don’t always pan out since the Cowboys are already eating dead salary cap this year. They’re eating more this upcoming season since the expectation is they extend Lamb and Prescott in the same offseason. However, there haven’t been any moves to make that happen. It’s hard to imagine that Prescott goes out there with just Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert as the next two receivers up.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers need a legit playmaker, someone for Justin Herbert to throw to. They have a few pass-catchers too but it hasn’t been anything special to replace either Mike Williams or Keenan Allen. Los Angeles is already making waves this offseason after hiring Jim Harbaugh to be their next head coach so it’s a matter of time before they made a trade to improve their receiving corps. Quentin Johnson, Josh Palmer and DJ Chark are not getting it done alone so they need some type of superstar to help.

The mediocracy of this wideout depth isn’t shaping up well for Herbert who’s looking to go on a deep playoff run.

Kansas City Chiefs

This trade seems a little bit too dreamy but this would probably send shockwaves across the league for a while. Rashee Rice isn’t going to be starting so they need some type of firepower to get this offense moving again for Patrick Mahomes. Marquise Brown, Kadarius Toney and Xavier Worthy can’t do it alone so it’s hard to imagine seeing them struggle which would be bad news to jump-start this offense.
