The Cleveland Browns schedule for next season boasts many tough opponents and an extra road game. When looking at the winning percentage from last season, the Browns schedule is the hardest in the entire league.
The Brown did have an extra home game last season and were 8-1 at the Dawg Pound. This was good for second-best in the NFL. They were one of two teams to win eight games at home.
The Browns schedule has four road games in the first six weeks including three in a row. With top-tier talent of players and teams, here are three of the most crucial matchups on the schedule that take place away from home.
Three Most Important Road Games That Will Shape Browns Season
Week 6 at Philadelphia Eagles
The Browns play all four NFC East teams in the first six weeks, closing with the Eagles. Two of the matchups are at home, and a road game the week before against the Commanders is an easier test than this one.
The Eagles were very good at home last season, going 6-2 which was tied for fifth-best in the league. The Browns will likely be 3-2 or 2-3 heading into this one, with two big divisional matchups looming.
I can’t stop watching this throw from Jalen Hurts.
He threw it only where AJ Brown could catch it and that’s insane when you see Isaiah Simmons (who’s 6’4” with a 7’0” wingspan) try to get up and deflect it.

A battle in the trenches will be expected and is one the Browns are very capable of winning. The Browns schedule does not get any easier after, but a win would propel momentum into divisional contests.
Week 11 at New Orleans Saints
Following the Eagles matchup, the Browns host three straight games and then have their bye week. Week 11 will be the first road game since Week 6 and will be against another respectable opponent.
The Saints were 5-3 last season along with six other teams. They played better at home than on the road, as they missed the playoffs and had some struggles.

The Browns cannot take this game lightly, as they have road matchups two of the following three weeks as well before a big home matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Week 16 at Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals in week 16 will be another tough game on the Browns schedule. With only two games after this, the second-to-last divisional game will likely have huge implications.
The Bengals were 6-3 at home last season, but the Browns have played well both at home and on the road against them the past couple of years. A win would give them plenty of momentum to attack the final two games.
Having one extra road game is going to be difficult, especially after winning eight out of nine home games a season ago. The road was tough at times for the Browns, including their dismantling in the playoffs on the road.
The team is keeping almost everyone from last season and has had very big additions via the draft and free agency. With the Browns schedule being the hardest in the league next season, every piece is crucial and will be called upon.
