All-Pro Superstar Playmaker Linked to Playoff Contender

Here is how All-Pro Superstar Playmaker Odell Beckham Jr. is linked to the Buffalo Bills in a rumor after the Stefon Diggs trade buzz.
Beckham linked to Bills

All-Pro superstar playmaker and former Baltimore Raven, Odell Beckham Jr. is linked as a possible landing spot for playoff contender Buffalo Bills. The wide receiver market is getting slimmer after the recent buzz of the Bills trading their star player, Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. It leaves many receivers like Beckham and Tee Higgins affecting their market value. The bad news is that it may take longer for them to find a new home.

However, Beckham could easily sign a one-year deal since he’s a free agent but there hasn’t been any deal that has gone through after visiting with the Dolphins. Higgins is most likely staying in Cincinnati as he’s still looking for a trade partner and the team isn’t letting him go. He remains unhappy with the Bengals after not receiving a high-paid extension. According to Adam Schefter, the Bills will receive a 2025 second-round draft pick from the Texans in exchange for the four-time Pro Bowl wideout and two draft picks.

The Texans weren’t in the market for a big-ticket receiver like Higgins but they went with their gut trading for Diggs. This leaves other teams trying to find a high-quality pass-catcher with just one fewer option to consider. However, the good news for the Bills is that they could sneak in signing Beckham on a one-year deal. They probably won’t consider Higgins since he could cost more.

The Bills need to find a reliable one to help Josh Allen and get the offense back to where they were last. They are another cash-strapped team that recently released star players like Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer and Gabe Davis. Buffalo will look towards the draft but it doesn’t mean they can’t get a low-cost veteran like Beckham.

He Could Land With The team Imminently

Beckham could land with the Bills soon this year after trading away their best receiver. The Jaguars grabbed Davis on a deal so this leaves Allen with no reliability. It’s probably frustrating for a franchise to plummet in star playmakers, especially for Allen who’s consistently been helping the team to consecutive playoffs. However, this year’s draft offers a deep receiver class but anyone coming in would need a year or two to learn the system.

Diggs notched over 5,000 receiving yards and scored 37 touchdowns since joining the Minnesota Vikings in 2020. His presence not being with the Bills will take a hit but Beckham has an excellent track record of success. Being a Super Bowl champion and having plenty of playoff success with several teams, including the Ravens could intrigue the Bills. The pieces to the puzzle make sense for both sides.

Last offseason, Beckham was linked with the Bills several times and he could now be picked up any time. The 10-year veteran has been having issues with injuries that have affected his athleticism and ability to make plays. However, he could still make an immediate star-power impact as soon as day one.

Other Possible Fits

Some say that the Panthers aren’t probably the best fit for Bekcham but it doesn’t hurt to add another veteran. Carolina already has a veteran receiver, Adam Thielen but Beckham could provide that help to create separation. Thielen has been struggling with doing so on the field but adding Beckham could put them on opposite ends. However, they made one move earlier this free agency by trading for wideout Diontae Johnson.

Of course, adding Beckham could be the best solution for the Chiefs wide receiver situation. With Rashee Rice’s ongoing investigation, the team will likely need a wideout but for cheap. They can’t afford someone like Higgins so they could add him to help Patrick Mahomes.
