Veteran safety Jordan Fuller signs a new contract with the Carolina Panthers. Fuller was a former sixth-round draft pick in 2020 for the Los Angeles Rams and has spent his entire four-year career at SoFi Stadium.

Fuller played in all 17 games for the Rams in 2023 recording 3 interceptions, 8 passes defended and 94 combined tackles. A week 18 ankle injury sidelined him for the Rams season-ending loss to Detroit in the Wild Card Round.

Fuller has been a solid starter for the Rams over the course of his career and was a key contributor during the regular season on the Super Bowl-winning team of 2021. A hamstring injury sustained in Week 4 of 2022 sidelined him for the majority of the Rams woeful campaign that year, as they struggled to reach the heights of the previous season.

A standout player at Ohio State, Fuller played under Urban Meyer during his time as a Buckeye and earned First Team All-Big Ten honors in 2019. The Rams drafted Fuller with pick number 199 in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Fuller was part of a Rams secondary anchored by Jalen Ramsey in the early part of his professional career. He was a starter at free safety in his rookie season and produced a stellar campaign, recording three interceptions while missing four games due to injury. He has experienced mixed durability over his career so far, with a variety of injuries affecting him. Fuller has played in just two playoff games, despite the Rams playing in seven over his time with the team. Out of a possible 67 regular season games, he has played in 48.

This new contract marks the next stage of Fuller’s career as he moves into his fifth year. He has shown flashes of outstanding potential in his short career thus far, however, he will be hoping to take the next step up in the coming season and cement himself in the conversation as one of the better safeties in the NFL.
