DraftKings DFS Bargains For The Lions At Cowboys

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams

The Lions and the Cowboys are both in the top 5 for points scored in 2023, so there should be plenty of DraftKings DFS bargains to be had here. Only the Dolphins have scored more rushing touchdowns than the Lions and nobody has caught more touchdown passes than the Cowboys. With that sort of build-up, this game can only end in disappointment.

There’s a difference between the defenses though. The Lions are allowing 24 points per game, the Cowboys are allowing just 19. Both teams have made 13 interceptions, so this could be a close game. The Cowboys are undefeated at home this season and the Lions have lost 2 road games. But they were against the Ravens and Bears, who have quietly become turnover specialists.

Detroit has secured the NFC North title. But there’s no point in them resting players this week because wins in the final two could secure a bye week.

Saturday Night DraftKings DFS Bargains

The Speedster DraftKings DFS Pick – Jameson Williams

Williams has a rollercoaster DraftKings DFS season. He scored 13.3 points in Week 6 and followed that up with 0.0 points in Week 7. That’s why he costs just $3,400 this week.

Williams will mostly line up opposite the hawk-iest of all ball hawks, DaRon Bland. Like all ball hawks Bland’s pass defense is very boom or bust. He’s made 8 interceptions this year. But he’s also allowing 12.2 yards per completion. He’s also conceded 4 touchdowns this season, the most by a Cowboy defender. If Ben Johnson and Jared Goff feel brave, they might test out Bland this week.

The Touchdown Machine Pick – Kavontae Turpin

CJ Gardner-Johnson’s return might mean that CeeDee Lamb has some elite-level coverage to deal with in this game. So Dak might have to spread the ball around a bit more than usual. Usually, that means either Turpin or Tolbert will see some extra targets. But Mike McCarthy may well want to get both of them involved more this week. It is possible these teams could meet early in the playoffs, so the Cowboys won’t want to display their playbook just 2 weeks out from the business end of the season.

Turpin has scored 3 receiving touchdowns and a rushing touchdown this season. And he’s averaging 10.5 yards per touch. If Turpin lines up as a receiver he could be opposite Will Harris (he could even be lined up on a linebacker or covered by a safety). Harris has allowed 83.3% of passes thrown his way to be completed! And he’s conceding 15.7 yards per completion. That looks like a favorable matchup. Turpin costs $2,000 this week, the

The Big Play Waiting To Happen Pick – Jalen Tolbert

Tolbert has had 3 fewer touches of the ball than Turpin. He’s averaging 13.2 yards per touch though. The Cowboys don’t use him in the run game like Turpin, but he has caught a touchdown pass this season. This week Tolbert could line up opposite Khalil Dorsey. Dorsey is only allowing 50% of passes to be completed but the ones that are completed are going for an average of 16.5 yards! There’s a real chance that Tolbert could have a big play in this game.

He only costs $2,400 on the DraftKings DFS slate. Seven receivers cost more than Tolbert!

The Versatile DraftKings DFS Pick – Kalif Raymond

Like Williams Raymond is a threat to catch the ball or run it in this Lions offense, but he’s $1,200 cheaper than Williams. Raymond has had 39 touches of the ball this season. And he averages 12.9 yards per touch. Raymond has seen 7 targets in his last 3 games and he’s caught 6 of them. He also ran the ball once for 8 yards last week.

Raymond could be defended by Jourdan Lewis this week. Lewis has conceded 3 touchdowns this season. And is allowing 11.2 yards per completion. Nobody on the Cowboys’ roster has allowed more yards after the catch than Lewis’ 206!

The Best Value DraftKings DFS Pick – Brandon Aubrey

This kid is absolute money. And he costs very little money on the DraftKings DFS slate this week. Aubrey hasn’t missed a field goal all season and he’s kicked 93.3% of the extra points he’s attempted too. Aubrey will cost $4,800 on the DraftKings DFS slate and he’s averaging 10.7 DraftKings points per game this season.
