A five-game winning streak is a huge deal. Along with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Denver Broncos are the hottest team in the NFL. But life wasn’t always this grand. The beginning of Denver’s season is one to forget. And that’s exactly what the Broncos are trying to do. As they dig their way out of a 1-5 hole, the team can’t afford any mistakes. So far, so good. Denver is now 6-5 and rolling. Also, and because of that streak, they are very near a playoff spot. Turning the tide started with two wins before a bye week. And it came after not “selling” veteran players, as many thought they would. But the race is not over. And one game might trip up the spectacular run that this team is on. Taking The Texans
Commercials joke that the NFL writes the script for the season. And while that’s laughable, fate seems to have written the Broncos into this moment. In Week 13, they face the Texans. And the Texans happen to be the team currently tied with Denver just outside the AFC Wild Card bubble. These two teams will face off in Houston. And the stakes couldn’t be higher. For each club, this game could make or break their playoff chances. For Denver, the key will be to continue to force turnovers. The Broncos have used their defense to win recent games. But their offense needs to continue to shine as well. The turnover pace the Broncos are on might not last forever. They will need to score touchdowns early and often in order to beat the Texans.

The NFL Playoffs are only seven weeks away. That means there are six more games to make or break the season. For the Broncos, each game is basically a postseason game. Because of their awful start, this club has to dig its way out of a major hole. That they are currently doing so is phenomenal. But the work is not over. That’s why the Denver Broncos desperately need to win Week 13. They simply cannot afford more losses if they want to be playing in January. Quarterback Russell Wilson needs to play great and throw touchdowns. The defense needs to force rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud into multiple mistakes. And the team as a whole needs to keep the mentality that every game is the Super Bowl. The Broncos are on the verge of an epic comeback. And perhaps it’s not quite over yet.
