Tight End Rankings

Travis Kelce is on bye in Week 10, leaving the top spot in the tight end rankings open, an extremely rare occurrence. This week, he is replaced by a rookie who has shown that he may be the next great fantasy football tight end.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings

Week Winners

  1. Dalton Kincaid
  2. T.J.Hockensen
  3. Sam LaPorta
  4. Mark Andrews

Dalton Kincaid has exploded over the last three weeks, scoring at least 15.5 points in each game. His Week 10 matchup against a Denver defense allowing the third most points per game to tight ends vaults this rookie into the top spot in this week’s tight end rankings, something I never thought I would say. T.J. Hockensen has been the TE2 over the last three weeks, and still scored 13.9 points in Joshua Dobbs’ first game replacing Kirk Cousins. He will continue to be an elite option at the tight end position.

Sam LaPorta is another rookie tight end having a fantastic season. The Chargers are an above-average matchup, and LaPorta should put together another strong game. Mark Andrews rounds out this tier of tight end rankings due to his matchup with the Cleveland Browns. While Andrews is an elite talent and Lamar Jackson’s first option, Cleveland is allowing just 4.6 points to opposing tight ends, by far the lowest number in the league.

Solid Starters

  1. Dalton Schultz
  2. Evan Engram
  3. George Kittle
  4. Taysom Hill

Dalton Schultz has been the TE3 in points per game since Week 5 and has a great matchup. Cincinnati allows the second-most points per game to opposing tight ends, and Schultz could be in for another huge game and headlines this tier of tight end rankings. Evan Engram has remained one of the most consistent options at tight end. While he has yet to score a touchdown, capping his ceiling, he has one of the highest floors in the league.

On the surface, San Francisco tight end George Kittle appears to have put his early season inconsistencies behind him. However, he played weeks seven and eight without Deebo Samuel, whose return may cause Kittle to become boom-or-bust again. Taysom Hill may finally be a reliable fantasy play. Since week six, he is the TE2, just 1.4 points behind Travis Kelce. He’s not only seeing high-value rushing attempts but also catching multiple passes per game.

Back-end TE1s

  1. Jake Ferguson
  2. Cole Kmet
  3. Trey McBride
  4. Kyle Pitts

Jake Ferguson has been a bit boom-or-bust this year but is coming off two straight weeks with at least four catches. He has scored three times this year, and his role in the offense seems to be growing. He is in a position to move into the next section of tight end rankings with another strong performance. Cole Kmet fell off the fantasy map for two games after Justin Fields’ injury. Since then, however, he has posted 17.9 and 23.5 points as a safety valve for Tyson Bagent. Regardless of who suits up at quarterback for the Bears, Kmet is a solid option at tight.

The Cleveland defense stifled Trey McBride and the rest of the Arizona offense in Week 9. Atlanta is a much easier matchup, and Kyler Murray’s expected return raises the fantasy stock of all players in this offense. In the first game with Taylor Heinicke under center, Kyle Pitts had 56 yards, his highest total of the season. However, Jonnu Smith still out-produced him, and as long as both tight ends are seeing involvement, it is unlikely Pitts will have enough production to climb the tight end rankings.

Streaming Options

  1. Logan Thomas
  2. Jonnu Smith
  3. David Njoku
  4. Cade Otton

Aside from Week 6, Logan Thomas has provided a solid floor as a streaming option. He has scored at least 7.1 points in every game aside from that one while working as a consistent target for Sam Howell. Jonnu Smith continues to have pop-up weeks for the Falcons. He certainly has the potential for double-digit points in any given week, but also has a low floor as the number two tight end in the offense (56.99 route percentage).

If not for a matchup against a Baltimore defense giving up the second-fewest points per game to tight ends, David Njoku would be higher in the tight end rankings after posting three straight double-digit performances. However, the matchup will likely lead to muted production in Week 10. Cade Otton had 70 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 against the Texans, but it was only his third game over 10 points and the Titans allow the fourth-fewest points per game to tight ends.

Dart Throws

  1. Hunter Henry
  2. Luke Musgrave
  3. Juwan Johnson
  4. Gerald Everett

Hunter Henry finally had another good game, as he scored 13.9 points, his highest mark since Week 2. It required a touchdown, however, as he is still yet to break 40 yards since Week 4. Luke Musgrave also caught a touchdown pass last week, his first of the season, but the Steelers allow the third-fewest points per game to tight ends.

In his second game back from injury, Juwan Johnson caught five passes and scored, but had only 29 yards and has had more games (3) under 15 yards than over 20 (2). Everett saw just two targets in Week 9 and finished with under 30 yards for the fourth game in a row. Like the other players in this section of tight end rankings, he is a touchdown-or-bust dart throw.
