Breaking news is spiraling from the NFL that Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs went down with a knee injury at practice. This is a big blow to the Cowboys defense as the team is dealing with yet another injury bug this season. This injury to their star cornerback is impactful since he’s been crucial to the “No-fly zone” defense. Diggs was lucky to not be carting off but rather leaving in crutches.
The third-year star underwent an MRI to evaluate the severity of the knee injury. The Cowboys are playing against the Arizona Cardinals in the desert, so it seems like Diggs will be out of that game. Sources reveal that Diggs will be out this season with a torn ACL. There are questions that are coming out if this injury will change the landscape of this doomsday defense.
Diggs made two straight Pro Bowls and was named First-Team All-Pro after a career year in 2021 after capping off with 11 interceptions. This season, Diggs recorded four tackles, three passes defensed, a forced fumble, and an interception.
The team shouldn’t be concerned, but ready to make changes at their depth. They have plenty of uprising star players ready to step up. Fans and the NFL media will have to wait how the season will play out for the Cowboys again dealing with injuries.

Trevon Diggs Suffers Season-Ending ACL Injury In Practice
The Injury Trend Continues
It’s almost every year when the Dallas Cowboys have a roster filled with talent, and it all stops with an injury. Diggs’ injury occurred after Brandin Cooks and Tyler Smith recently moved to full participation at practice. The Cowboys are hit at their offensive line with Zack Martin and Chuma Edoga missing practice. Tyler Biadasz was just added to the injury report along with Diggs as the injuries start to pile.
Dallas is holding their breath every season to remain healthy toward the playoffs. The team has plenty of success during the season, but the playoffs always seem to be in drought due to critical injuries.
This team is different this year despite the injuries, Dallas has enough talent to overcome the circumstances. The defense’s pass rush and the addition of veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore should be enough to sustain the injury. Barring any more circumstances, Dallas should be sharp and ready on the defense least to say.
We praying for you @TrevonDiggs please believe me when I say this will make your story better!

Defense Is Not Dwelling
The Dallas Cowboys defense has no reason to be dwelling on the injury to Trevon Diggs. It’s a great opportunity for young talent to step up or look for insurance in veterans in the NFL free agency market. The good news is that Jourdan Lewis is coming back with his long-awaited debut in the slot. Also, DaRon Bland may very well be the next man up who led the Cowboys in interceptions during the 2022 season.
Noah Igbinoghene will be ready at depth in light of the Diggs injury behind Bland and Lewis. Bland is already shedding success by recording at least one interception for a touchdown return. The Cowboys are still in good hands at their defense. It’s the worries at the Cowboys offense that can be game-changing.
Dallas is holding their head above water for playoff success as long as they stay healthy. The team can’t lose any more stars when the team is in a “now or never” mindset this season.
