Best Super Bowl prop bets: Defense and kicker props to add to your list

It’s time to dig deep into the sportsbooks and exploit some of the not-so-mainstream bets.

Squeezing value out of the oversaturated offensive props can be a grind, but taking advantage of some backburner bets can bring riches.

Player to record 2+ sacks

The sack masters have been shining this postseason. Both teams’ top quarterback-hunters have been flexing recently, with multi-sack games becoming commonplace.

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tackle Chris Jones has been on a rampage with 4.5 sacks in his last three games. His Eagles equal, Haason Reddick, has been even better, recording 2+ sacks in four of his previous six games.

There’s excellent value on both of these beasts to bag a pair this Sunday. You can dig even deeper and bet on sacks + tackles, the game’s first sack, and more.

Player to record an interception

There’s no shortage of ball hawks in Super Bowl 57, making the interception prop an enticing one.

The Eagles’ secondary features C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Darius “big play’ Slay, who combined for nine picks on the season.

Gardner-Johnson had a league-leading six interceptions in just 12 games. The +630 odds are bursting with value for someone that averages a pick every second game.

There are also options to bet on a player to nab 2+ picks if you’re looking for +5000 odds and up.

Total kicking points

Two of the game’s best kickers will be displayed in Super Bowl 57 with Harrison Butker and Jake Elliott.

Elliott has been more of an extra-point specialist than a field goal kicker in the playoffs so far, thanks to the Eagles blowing teams out of the water with touchdowns. But you can rest assured that this one will be no blowout.

For Butker’s part this postseason, he’s been tested five times and has nailed all of them.

The over/under is set at 7.5 for both. Butker has gone over that number in six of 14 games this season, while Elliott has gone over in just six of 18 total games.

Defensive and kicker specials

The sportsbooks have thrown in a few specials for the big game, including player parlays and walk-off field goals. Here are a few neat options to consider.

Jones and Reddick 2+ sacks

Player with most sacks + tackles

Walk-off field goal
