Taylor’s first two seasons were filled with many tumultuous moments. The Bengals front office was steadfast in defending Taylor and his methods in giving him every resource he has asked for. This patience paid tremendous dividends this year and Taylor’s guidance led the Bengals to places they haven’t been in three decades. With having a quarterback the caliber of Joe Burrow, reaching the Super Bowl this season, and having almost $60 million in cap space, the Bengals are well-positioned for a bright future.

Owner Mike Brown put out the following statement, “Zac has come into the league and worked to develop the foundations for a winning program that can be successful over time,” said Bengals president Mike Brown. “The fruits of Zac’s efforts were seen this year, and Zac is well-regarded by our players and coaches. I know the effort and passion Zac brings to the building and to our team, and I am pleased by his approach. And I think the city of Cincinnati sees him the way the players and I do. He’s brought excitement to the town and deserves credit and recognition for that.” Taylor has done an incredible job rebuilding the entire culture of this Bengals franchise. With the added pull of Burrow, he has made Cincinnati a destination that free agents want to be a part of. Now, as the Bengals head into the offseason and the draft, they will turn their attention to improving the team. Priority number one will be protecting Burrow in hopes that he and Taylor can lead them back to the Super Bowl.
