The Miami Dolphins are parting ways with head coach Brian Flores after three seasons with the team. Flores went 24-25 during his tenure with Miami, but is still a shocking move.
Miami started this season 1-7 and seemed to be down in the dumps. They would go on and win their next seven in a row and had a chance at the playoffs. Flores wasn’t perfect, but given the roster he had and circumstances, he did a pretty good job and the team seemed to rally around him. Miami has won 19 games in two seasons as well, and back to back winning seasons. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross released a statement Monday morning following Flores’s departure.

Miami Dolphins Part Ways With Head Coach Brian Flores
The Dolphins will keep general manager Chris Grier for at least another season, reports say. Flores will be a hot coaching candidate, and should have a new job by the end of the week. For Miami, they continue to search for their guy. The Dolphins seem to be in this never ending cycle every five years, and can’t seem to find the right guy.
As for the Dolphins new head coach, it could be anyone. There have been reports that University of Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh could get be the guy, but it does not seem like that’s the case.
Expect Jim Harbaugh-NFL speculation to rage this week, but Michigan alum & big-money donor Stephen Ross made it clear Monday that his Miami Dolphins aren't interested.

There are a number of candidates Miami could get. Matt Nagy, Mike Zimmer, and Vic Fangio all were fired as well on Monday morning. Owner Stephen Ross obviously wants to win, and is done with waiting around. He is one of the more aggressive owners in the NFL, and is not afraid to make big moves. Brian Flores released a statement following the shocking fire.

Flores is one of the best defensive minded coaches in the league, and should have no problem getting a job. Whether it’s another head coach, or defensive coordinator, Flores should be at the top of the list for teams looking.
