For Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, the 2010s will be remembered as a rather rough time in team history. The team did not have a single playoff appearance and has only finished above .500 twice in the past decade. The Bucs recently hired Bruce Arians prior to the 2019 season, as their fifth head coach in the past ten seasons. It finally seems the franchise is turning a corner with the off-season acquisition of legendary quarterback Tom Brady, as the team hopes they can move on from the woeful 2010s. Despite minimal success throughout the decade, the Bucs still had some exciting young players during this period in team history. They will be remembered on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2010s All-Decade Team.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2010s All-Decade Team: Offense
Quarterback- Jameis Winston (2015-2019)
After an abysmal 2014 season in which the Buccaneers finished a league-worst 2-14, the team was granted the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. After a season of inconsistent quarterback play from both Mike Glennon and Josh McCown, the Buccaneers selected Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, from Florida State. Winston came into the NFL with extremely high expectations and quickly became a polarizing figure in Tampa Bay. Despite some off-field issues, Winston broke almost every franchise passing record, with the most passing attempts, yards, and touchdowns in Buccaneers’ history.
In his final season with the team, Winston led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. He passed for a whopping 5,109 yards, and 33 touchdowns. Unfortunately for Bucs fans he also led the league in interceptions with 33, and ultimately led the team to a 7-9 record, missing the playoffs once again. Winston will be remembered in Tampa Bay as a rather polarizing figure. However statistically, Winston is the greatest Bucs quarterback of all time. His time with the team make him an easy choice for the All-Decade Team.
Running Back: Doug Martin (2012-2017)
During the 2010s, Doug Martin was a staple of the Buccaneers offense. “The Muscle Hamster” was selected to two Pro Bowls during his time with the Bucs, and was a first-team All-Pro in 2015. Despite battling some injuries over the course of his career, during his 2012 and 2015 seasons, he was among the best running backs in football. Martin will be remembered by Bucs fans for his breakout performance in his 2012 rookie season, where he ran for a franchise-record 251 yards and four touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders. Martin ran for a total of 4,633 yards during his Buccaneers career and is unquestionably the deserving of his spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers All-Decade Team.
Wide Receiver: Mike Evans (2014-present)
Despite the lack of team success throughout the 2010s, the Buccaneers have had a few elite-level wide receivers throughout the decade. The first of this group is Mike Evans. Evans is undoubtedly the greatest wide receiver in team history, and has the numbers to prove it. He has amassed a franchise leading 7,260 receiving yards, and 48 touchdowns, and has been one of the leagues top receiving threats since he came into the league in 2014. Evans could be in contention for the NFL All-Decade Team, and is an easy decision here.
Wide Receiver: Vincent Jackson (2012-2016)
Vincent Jackson has also earned a spot on the Buccaneers All-Decade team. Jackson signed with the Buccaneers as a free agent prior to the 2012 season, and went on to have three 1,000+ yard receiving seasons with the team. He was a three-time Pro Bowler, with one of them as a Buccaneer. Jackson played the majority of his Bucs career with sub-par quarterback play. However, he still had three very successful seasons with the team. Jackson spent the last two years of his career riddled with injuries. Despite this, Vincent Jackson has definitely done enough to cement himself on the Bucs All-Decade Team.
Wide Receiver: Chris Godwin (2017-present)
The third wide receiver on the Bucs All-Decade team is young superstar Chris Godwin. Godwin has only been in the NFL for three seasons, but has steadily improved every year. He had a breakout 2019 season, where he led the Buccaneers in both receiving yards and touchdowns. This was one of the best receiving seasons in team history. Godwin is becoming a young star in the NFL, and rightfully deserves his spot on the Bucs All-Decade Team.
Tight End: Cameron Brate (2014-present)
In his six-year career with the Buccaneers, Cameron Brate has been a consistent offensive presence. Brate has acted as a solid red-zone target for the team and is one of the longest-tenured Buccaneers on the current team. Signed as an undrafted free agent from Harvard, he has gone on to catch 27 touchdowns with the Bucs, with over 2,000 receiving yards. Brate has been a solid presence on many Bucs teams, and has provided solid production during his career with the Bucs.
Left Tackle: Donald Penn (2007-2013)
At left tackle, Donald Penn was a staple of the Buccaneers offensive line in the early 2010s. Penn played seven seasons with the team, started 112 games, and did not miss a single game during his Buccaneers career. During his time with the team, Penn was a 2010 Pro Bowler with the team. To the dismay of many Buccaneers fans, Penn was released by the team in 2014. He has went on to continue his successful career with the Oakland Raiders. Penn was a staple of the early 2010s Buccaneers offensive line, and is rightfully deserving of his spot on the All-Decade Team.
Left Guard: Ali Marpet (2015-present)
Ali Marpet has consistently been one of the most underrated interior offensive lineman in the league since he came into the NFL in 2015. Drafted in the second round, Marpet has went on to start 72 games in five seasons with the Bucs, and has consistently ranked amongst the highest-graded guards in the league. He has also shown versatility on the offensive line, playing at both guard and center throughout his career so far. Marpet has been the Bucs’ best offensive lineman since 2015, and is an easy candidate for the Bucs All-Decade Team.
Center: Jeremy Zuttah (2008-2013)
Drafted in the third round in 2008, Jeremy Zuttah went on to play 106 games with the Buccaneers, and provided solid offensive line play throughout his tenure. He was a versatile offensive lineman that spent time playing center, as well as guard with the team. Zuttah was traded to the Ravens in 2014 and was a Pro Bower in Baltimore just three years later. Despite only playing three seasons for the Bucs in the 2010s, Zuttah has done enough to earn his spot on the All-Decade Team.
Right Guard: Davin Joseph (2006-2013)
Mainly alongside Jeremy Zuttah, Davin Joseph started 100 games over the course of his Buccaneers career. A former Bucs first-round pick, Joseph was selected to two Pro Bowls over the course of his career, with one coming in the 2010s. Joseph was a mainstay on the Buccaneers offensive line for a number of years, and because of this has earned his spot on the All-Decade Team.
Right Tackle: Demar Dotson (2009-2019)
In this past season, Demar Dotson was the longest-tenured member of the Buccaneers. He has started 130 games over his career with the Bucs and has been a consistent presence at right tackle. Signed as an underrated free agent in 2009, Dotson provided the Buccaneers offensive line with stability over the past decade. Dotson was unfortunately a part of some below average Buccaneers teams, never once making the playoffs. However, Dotson was a rare bright spot on those teams and performed in his role day in and day out. He will be remembered by Bucs fans for his blue-collar work ethic, and consistency throughout his time with the team. Dotson is absolutely deserving his spot on the Buccaneers All-Decade Team.
