Five-year NFL pass rusher, Dante Fowler Jr., has signed a new contract with the Atlanta Falcons. As of this posting, the exact length and value of the contract is not available to the public. Fowler spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams.

Dante Fowler Jr. Signs With Atlanta Falcons
Fowler spent the 2019 season with the Log Angeles Rams as one of the team’s premier pass rushers. Fowler started 14 games this past season, accumulating 58 tackles with 16 tackles for loss and 16 quarterback hits. Additionally, Fowler recorded 11.5 sacks, six pass deflections, and two forced fumbles.
Fowler entered the league in 2015 as the 3rd overall pick in the first round. Selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Fowler missed his entire rookie season due to an ACL tear on his first day of mini-camp. Fowler started just once in the 2016 season, accounting for 32 tackles, six tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, and four sacks overall. Fowler also recorded five pass deflections.
In total, Fowler spent four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. During his time there, the third overall pick accounted for 14 tackles for loss, 22 quarterback hits, and 14 sacks. Additionally, Fowler recorded five pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.
Fowler has appeared in six playoff games, starting in half of them. In his six career playoff game, Fowler compiled 13 tackles, six quarterback hits, and one pass deflection. Fowler has also accounted for three and a half sacks.
In 2019, Fowler finished ninth in the league in quarterback sacks and currently ranks 23rd in the league in fumble return yards. He also currently ranks fifth in the league in fumble return touchdowns.
Fowler was traded from the Jaguars to the Rams in October of 2018 for a 2019 third round pick and a 2020 fifth round pick. In July of 2018, Fowler was suspended for one game for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
