Eight year NFL outside linebacker/defensive end Bruce Irvin has signed with the Seattle Seahawks. As of this posting, the length and value of the contract are not available to the public.

Bruce Irvin Signs
Irvin spent the 2019 season with the Carolina Panthers. Playing 55 percent of the total defensive snaps in 12 starts and 13 games total, Irvin made his presence felt with 8.5 sacks and one forced fumble, along with one fumble recovery.
Irvin entered the NFL in 2012 as the 15th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. In a rotational role, Irvin picked up eight sacks during his rookie campaign while adding one forced fumble and an additional fumble recovery. He also notched a sack during the Seahawks playoff run.
During Seattle’s 2013 Super Bowl run, Irvin became a regular starter on the NFL’s top-ranked defense. Starting 12 games, he only racked up two sacks but added an interception and one forced fumble. As Seattle once again boasted the league’s best defense in 2014, Irvin recorded 6.5 sacks as he also intercepted two passes as Seattle won their first Super Bowl championship in franchise history.
After four seasons in Seattle, Irvin signed a four-year, $37 million dollar deal with the Oakland Raiders prior to the 2016 season. In his first season with Oakland, Irvin picked up seven sacks while adding a career-high six forced fumbles. The next season, Irvin once again made his presence felt while tying a career-high with eight sacks and four forced fumbles. Despite registering three sacks in eight games in 2018, the Raiders wound up end up releasing Irvin halfway through the season before he got picked up by the Atlanta Falcons. In eight games (starting in three), Irvin notched 3.5 sacks in Atlanta as he was reunited with his old Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Over the course of his career, Irvin has recorded 52 sacks, 16 forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries during the regular season while adding 3.5 sacks in 11 playoff games.
