Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips signed a three year contract with the Arizona Cardinals. The exact value of the deal is not yet available to the public but it keeps him with the team until 2023. Phillips spent the first three and a quarter seasons of his five-year NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, before joining the Buffalo Bills for most of his 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Jordan Phillips Signs with Arizona Cardinals
Jordan Phillips played in all 16 games with the Buffalo Bills last season and started in nine of them. Phillips recorded a career high, and team high, 9.5 sacks in those 16 games. He also tallied 13 tackles for loss, 16 QB hits, and 31 total tackles. All of which were career highs. Jordan Phillips’ 2019 season was his best statistical season yet, and saw him regularly contribute to one of the best defenses in the NFL. He played 52.41% of the Bills defensive snaps which was good enough for the fourth most amongst Bills defensive lineman.
Drafted 52nd overall in the 2015 NFL draft, Jordan Phillips failed to gain real traction in Miami. His production levels lacked consistency and for much of his time he was a rotational player on the defensive line. Phillips was released by the Dolphins on October 2nd, 2018 after getting into an in-game argument with a coach over playing time. The Bills picked up Phillips the next day on October 3rd. He appeared in all 12 games he was eligible for the rest of the year in Buffalo.
Ranked as the number one player in the state of Kansas where he grew up, Jordan Phillips attended the University of Oklahoma. He redshirted in 2011 and played in 11 games in 2012. A back injury cut his 2013 season short after just four games, but he responded strongly in 2014. Phillips started all 13 games at defensive tackle in 2014 and received All-Big 12 second team honors for his play. He recorded two sacks, 39 total tackles, and seven tackles for loss.
