Where has the season gone? It’s Week 15 and I honestly don’t know how to feel. I’m excited about Playoff football but that also means football is coming to an end and that’s just too much for me to think about right now. So how about we talk a little DFS instead This week’s Fanduel slate is absolutely loaded with talent and finding the right guys for your lineup, like Ryan Tannehill, is trickier than ever. That is why I’m going to break down my top three Fanduel stacks for Week 15 including one sneaky stack that could hit BIG!
Ryan Tannehill Headlines Week 15 DFS Stack Plays
Baker Mayfield ($7,700) & Jarvis Landry ($7,400) @ Arizona Cardinals
The Browns will travel to the desert this weekend to face the Cardinals and their 32nd ranked pass defense. After a slow start to the season, Baker Mayfield has been heating up as of late scoring 10 touchdowns over his last five games. This week’s set up could not be any better for Mayfield as the Cardinals have given up nearly 24 fantasy points a game to quarterbacks this season.
My top option in the Cleveland passing game is Jarvis Landry, NOT Odell Beckham Jr. As good as OBJ is, it’s Landry who has been the most valuable in fantasy. Over his last seven games, Landry has notched 72 targets, that’s over 10 targets a game! The Cardinals have struggled mightily against the slot this season which is why I have Landry going off for a huge game in this one.
Ryan Tannehill ($7,600) & AJ Brown ($6,200) vs Houston Texans
Is there a better story in the 2019 NFL season than the remarkable return of Ryan Tannehill? Since becoming the starter in Tennessee, Tannehill has been unstoppable scoring over 18 fantasy points in six of seven starts. He is making all the right plays right now for a Titans team that is heating up at the right time. This week they face the Texans and their 27th ranked pass defense in a game that will have massive playoff implications. That is why I expect the Titans to rely heavily on Tannehill to get them the big divisional win.
Another emerging star on this team has been rookie wide receiver, AJ Brown. While his numbers have been somewhat inconsistent, his play on the field shows just what kind of talent he possesses. He has the ability to beat you over the top while also being a nightmare after catch making him a viable short target as well. In a game that should have plenty of points scored, look for Tannehill to connect with his new number one receiver early and often.
Gardner Minshew ($6,900) & Dede Westbrook ($6,000) @ Oakland Raiders
Here is my value stack of the week. Most DFS players will probably overlook Minshew this week which is exactly why I like him. He faces an Oakland secondary that has just been atrocious all year long. They come into this game ranked 2nd to last in the league against quarterbacks and may drop one step further after this one. Minshew has shown that he can be more than just a game manager and he also knows he’s auditioning for a potential future starting job which is why he will go all out this week in a very favorable matchup.
One of the reasons I think people will fade Minshew is because number one wide receiver DJ Chark is not expected to play in this game but I’m not too worried about that. Dede Westbrook has stepped up lately showing that he can be a reliable option both over the middle and most importantly in the red zone. Over his last four games, Westbrook has received 30 targets and converted on 23 of them. He’s someone that a young quarterback like Minshew can look for over and over as a safety net. Like all value stacks, there is risk in this, but the reward can be massive. Just think of the studs you can surround these two with, the possibilities are endless.
