Six-year NFL wide receiver Josh Gordon has been claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks. The deal keeps Gordon with the Seahawks until the end of the season and will be the third team of his NFL career. Gordon, a one-time All-Pro, spent portions of the 2018 and 2019 seasons with the New England Patriots but has also played for the Cleveland Browns.

Gordon spent the 2018 season with the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Playing in all 16 games, the speedy wide receiver recorded 21 receptions for 247 yards and three touchdowns. While Gordon did have a few carries with the Cleveland Browns, he never really strayed far from the wide receiver position with the New England Patriots.
Gordon initially entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft. Selected by the Cleveland Browns, Gordon recorded 50 receptions for 805 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie. He accumulated 180 receptions for 3,106 yards, 16 touchdowns and one Pro Bowl selection in his five years with the Browns
In total, Gordon spent portions of five seasons with the Cleveland Browns. During his time there, the second-round supplemental pick recorded 180 receptions for 3,106 yards and 16 touchdowns. Additionally, Gordon also received his lone Pro Bowl selection in 2013.
Gordon joined the New England Patriots on a one-year contract during the 2018 season. During his two years in New England, Gordon played in 17 games and recorded 60 receptions for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns. Gordon’s tenure in New England was cut short due to a knee injury, as head coach Bill Belichick released Gordon outright off of the injured reserve.
Throughout the course of his career, Gordon has recorded 240 receptions for 4,113 yards and 20 touchdowns. Additionally, Gordon has accumulated 89 rushing yards on six career carries.
