On Sunday morning the Carolina Panthers returned to the practice field for their fourth day of training camp.
Here are some highlights and notable tidbits from the day:
Carolina Panthers Training Camp: Day Four Recap
–Cam Newton is the only quarterback in the NFL who would wear sunglasses during warmups, but that’s why Panthers fans love him.

– Second year OT Taylor Moton worked with the ones today, after the injury to Daryl Williams that took place on Saturday morning. He looked good here working with Guard Trai Turner on pass protection:

-Receiver Devin Funchess made a smooth one-handed grab on a great ball thrown by Newton in one-on-ones. Hopefully this is something to get used to:

– Rookie defensive backs Donte Jackson and Rashaan Gaulden have seen time with the first team in every day of practice, and that didn’t stop on day four. Jackson has a lot of excitement surrounding him at the moment, drawing more and more comparisons to former Panthers cornerback Josh Norman.
– Rookie wideout DJ Moore continued to impress, and it seems Norv Turner won’t be taking his sweet time getting the kid heavily involved in the offense. So far Moore has been everything as advertised, and maybe even better.
– Best part of the day: No injuries. Every practice where the injury report goes untouched is a win for the team.
– In NFC South news, Buccaneers first-round draft pick DT Vita Vea was carted off the practice field today with an injury. It’s never good to see players get hurt at this point of the season, especially promising rookies. Early reports are optimistic about his return.
