Green, Gold and Bold Podcast – Week 14 Green Bay Packers Podcast
Another Near Death Moment
Jonathan and Aaron discuss the slow start of the Packers this week and how a few big moments from Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Clay Matthews and Josh Jones saved the season … so far.
The Packers ended up winning 27-21, but it took overtime to overcome the Browns. Brett Hundley had to throw over 40 times, but remained without an interception. Meanwhile, the Packers defense intercepted DeShone Kizer twice, both keys to the tide of the game turning. Despite allowing 136 yards to the Browns rushing attack, the Packers found a way to win.
Find out who impressed, who needs to improve, and what the defense can do to prevent future games from being too close for comfort.
After the discussion of the game that was, there is plenty to unpack in terms of what the Packers need to do. The defense still needs to be saved from an unimaginative scheme. This team still needs a beast at the inside linebacker spot to support the tackling machine known as Blake Martinez. It seems clear that Dom Capers should be getting walking papers at the end of the year, but is Mike McCarthy too loyal?
There is still hope. After this podcast was recorded, we all got the word that Aaron Rodgers will be returning to save us. Maybe. The jury is still out. The toughest test will be the coming road contest against the Carolina Panthers. Go Pack Go!
