One of the most crucial parts of playing fantasy football is playing the match ups. Now some players are considered match up proof. You aren’t going to sit Tom Brady, Le’Veon Bell or Antonio Brown. Below are some week 13 fantasy football starts and sits to help you to win your week 13 match up.

Week 13 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Starts

Philip Rivers

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been a decent streaming option for fantasy players throughout the season. He is coming off one of his best games of the season where he totaled 434 passing yards and three touchdowns for 29 fantasy points. In week 13 he has another solid match up against the Cleveland Browns who have allowed the seventh most fantasy points to quarterback so far this season. Rivers is a solid quarterback one this week in a revenge game on the Browns, who got their only win against the Chargers in 2016.

Case Keenum

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum has been a solid streaming option since taking over as the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. He is coming off a solid week 12 performance where he totaled 27 fantasy points. Keenum has averaging around 21 fantasy points per game over the last four weeks, becoming one of the best quarterback in fantasy football over the last few weeks. In week 13 he is going up against the Atlanta Falcons who have been a solid match up for quarterback so far this season. Look for Keenum to continue to produce solid numbers in week 13.

Jamaal Williams

Green Bay Packers rookie running back Jamaal Williams is coming off the best game of his young career in week 12 where he scored 25.5 fantasy points. He was the second highest scoring running back in week two against a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense. In week 13 he is going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have provided the eighth most fantasy points to running back so far they season. Williams is a solid running back two with upside this week in a good match up.

Samaje Perine

Washington Redskins running back Samaje Perine is coming off back to back 13 plus fantasy point performances, now the number one running back for the Redskins. In week 13 he’s going up against the Dallas Cowboys who have been a solid match up for running backs so far the season. With linebacker Sean Lee inactive again this week Perine has running back one potential.

Davante Adams

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has been one of the loan bright spots in the Green Bay Packers offense since Aaron Rodgers went down with the injury. He has had over 80 yards in three straight games and his found the end zone in two out of the three games. Adams is coming off a solid week 12 of 82 yards and a touchdown against a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense. In week 13 he has a very juicy match up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who where torched by the Atlanta Falcons last week. The Buccaneers are giving up the most fantasy points to wide receivers so far this season. Adams is a solid wide receiver two with upside this week.

Robby Anderson

New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson has been one of the best draft bargains and biggest surprises so far this season. He is currently ranked as the ninth best receiver in fantasy. Anderson is averaging over 10 fantasy points per game, coming off a great week week 12 with 146 yards and two touchdowns against a tough Carolina Panthers defense. He is going up against the Kansas City Chiefs in week 13 who are currently giving up the second most fantasy points to wide receivers so far this season.

Hunter Henry

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry has been one of the biggest boom or bust players in fantasy so far this season. He has six games of seven or more fantasy points and five games of three or fewer fantasy points. Henry is coming off a good week 12 performance of 13.6 fantasy points. In week 13 he is going up against the Cleveland Browns, who are giving up the third most fantasy point to tight ends so far this season.

Delanie Walker

Tennessee Titans Delanie Walker has been one of the best tight ends in fantasy football over the last few weeks. He has scored over six fantasy points per game in four games straight. In week 13 he is going up again divisional opponent the Houston Texans. The Texans are currently giving up the sixth most fantasy points to tight ends so far this season. In a must win game for the Titans to stay in the playoff race, Walker should be involved early and often in week 13 contest.

Sits

Alex Smith

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith has completely fallen apart along with the entire Chiefs offense. Smith was ranked as the number one quarterback in fantasy in week seven, averaging 20 fantasy points per game. Over the last two weeks he is averaging only 11 fantasy points. With the offensive struggles of the Chiefs and Smith’s inconsistent play, he is a risky play in a tough match up in weeks 13 against the New York Jets.

Andy Dalton

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton is coming off back to back solid games averaging 18 fantasy point per contest. In week 13 he is going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers who have been one of the toughest defenses for fantasy quarterback this season. The Steelers are giving up the fourth fewest fantasy points to quarterback this season. The Steelers held Dalton to only 10 fantasy points earlier this season. He is a risky play in a tough match up in week 13.

DeMarco Murray

Tennessee Titans running back DeMarco Murray has not been the elite number one running backs that he has been over the past few seasons. Murray has dealt with several injuries this season and has been inconsistent and extremely touchdown dependent. Now he is averaging nine points per contest the season. The Titans are also starting to use more and more of a running back by committee with Derrick Henry. The Texans are allowing the fourth fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, making Henry a risky flex play in week 13.

Jay Ajayi

Philadelphia Eagles running back Jay Ajayi has been inconsistent this season in his production. Since he was traded to the Eagles he has found himself in a very messy running back by committee. The Eagles are splitting carries between all there running backs over the last few weeks. Ajayi is coming off a disappointing week 12 performance of only three fantasy points. With the Eagles splitting carries to all three running backs, they are riding the hot hand and it is difficult to say Ajayi is worth much more than a flex play in week 13.

Dez Bryant

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been a disappointment in fantasy for a player who at one time was considered elite. On average he was drafted in the second round of drafts this season. Bryant is currently ranked as the 30th best receiver in fantasy so far this season. He and the entire Dallas offense have struggled since Ezekiel Elliott suspension. This week he is going up against his division rival the Washington Redskins. He will be shadowed by his personal rival Josh Norman. While the match up will be blown up by the media, Bryant will most likely be limited and is a risky play for fantasy owners in week 13.

Jack Doyle

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle has been one of the better streaming options for fantasy owners at tight end so far this season. He is currently ranked as the ninth best tight end in fantasy, averaging six fantasy points per game so far the season. Doyle is coming off a solid week 13 performance of 93 yards for nine fantasy points. This week Doyle is going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars – one of the best defenses in the NFL the season. With the tough match up Doyle is a risky play for fantasy owners in week 13.

Austin Hooper

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper has been a solid but sometimes inconsistent tight end in fantasy the season. He is currently averaging five fantasy points per game. He has five games of five or more fantasy points and six games of three or less fantasy points this season. In week 13 he has a difficult match up against the Minnesota Vikings who have been tough on tight ends this season. They are currently giving up the fifth fewest fantasy points this season.
