Wide receiver Terrelle Pryor has signed a one-year, $8 million deal with the Washington Redskins. Although he started his career as a journeyman quarterback, Pryor broke out in a big way as a wide receiver with the Cleveland Browns in 2016, and will now have another opportunity to prove himself.

Terrelle Pryor Signs One-Year Deal With the Washington Redskins
Unlimited Potential
As far as wide receivers go, Pryor just might have the most potential of any of this year’s free agents. After all, has only been playing receiver for two years, and last year, he emerged as a top-caliber player. Even with the horrible state of last year’s Browns quarterbacks, Pryor excelled, racking up over 1,000 yards on the season. Additionally, Pryor caught 77 total passes for four touchdowns. Although the Browns went 1-15 in 2016, he was a definite bright spot.
Pryor’s upside is absolutely unreal. While he showed flashes of greatness last year, the quarterbacks held him back a bit. Perhaps if the quarterbacks in Cleveland in 2016 were better, he would be an even hotter free agent. But nevertheless, Pryor deserved the money he got in this deal.
Athletic Prime
The most important part of this deal is that Pryor is now locked up during his prime. Pryor is 27 right now, and will be 28 on June 20th, and should remain productive over the duration of the deal. Pryor is exciting, without a doubt, and seeing him improve even more in the coming seasons is going to be fun.
There is no doubt that Pryor deserves the money he received. While he has had some character issues, no player is without fault. Pryor has the potential to be a number one wide receiver, and it is clear that his team knows that.
