According to reports from Adam Caplan, wide receiver Kenny Britt will sign with the Cleveland Browns. Britt spent the last three seasons of his career with the St. Louis Rams. The deal is for four years, and $32.5 million.

Report: Kenny Britt to Sign With Cleveland Browns
Britt is coming off of the first 1,000-yard season of his eight-year career. The Rutgers product hauled in a career-best 68 receptions, despite having the underwhelming duo of Case Keenum and Jared Goff throwing him the ball. Britt averaged an excellent 14.7 YPC, which was actually below his career average of 15.8. The 14.7 figure was still good enough, however, to place Britt in the top-20, league-wide, ahead of such dynamic threats as A.J. Green, Amari Cooper, and Mike Evans.
While he is entering his ninth season in 2017, Britt is still just 28 years old (he will turn 29 early in the ’17 campaign). Although he has never lived up to expectations as a former first-round draft pick, Britt has quietly had a productive career, despite playing on very underwhelming offenses with the Rams and Tennessee Titans. Excluding the 2011 season in which Britt suited up for only three games, the burly wideout has averaged over 37 catches for over 650 yards per season, in his career.
Britt’s early career was been marred by injury and off-field incidents, as he suffered a serious knee injury in the aforementioned 2011 season, resulting in reconstructive surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL. Britt would have a subsequent arthroscopic procedure three months later. Britt was also suspended for four games in the 2012 season for numerous off-field issues, including a felony arrest in his native New Jersey. With the 6’3″ Britt’s recent production ranking as the best of his career, it’s fair to assume that Britt has possibly matured, and will reward his new team with a level of play befitting of a former first round draft selection.
