In week 14, the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in a highly anticipated matchup. This game is a chance for Seattle to clinch the NFC West division as they currently hold a three-game lead over the Arizona Cardinals. Here are the Seattle Seahawks week 14 keys to victory over Green bay.

Seattle Seahawks Week 14 Keys to Victory

Consistency

Consistency is an area that Seattle’s offense has struggled with the most this season and it’s an area that has been the most frustrating to fans. The Seahawks currently have eight wins, three losses, and one tie game. For three of these games, the Seahawks scored zero touchdowns, resulting in just field goals to help keep their sanity. In those three games combined, the Seahawks had a total of 14 points while their opponents had a total of 29 points. Five of the Seahawks wins came from seven points or more. One of those, an extreme annihilation, was in week 13 against the Carolina Panthers with a win of 40-7.

Seattle’s defense for the most part has been consistent when comparing their play with the offensive side of the ball. They have had a total of 848 combine tackles, 31 sacks, and 11 interceptions. In four of their games, they have held opponents to ten points or less.

Russell Wilson

In the first 13 games, quarterback Russell Wilson has over 3,000 total passing yards, 14 total touchdowns, and five interceptions. In five of these games, Wilson had zero touchdowns. Only one of them came out as a win. On the other hand, Wilson had three games with three or more total touchdowns.

Darrell Bevell’s Offense

Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell can be seen as infamous among Seahawks fans. His play calls have robbed many potential plays for Seattle’s offense. No one likes to see a run play or a screen pass behind the line of scrimmage on third and 15. In times when the Seahawks barely manage to squeeze out a win, or have an jaw dropping performance with a win of fifteen or more points, it’s thanks to the players and not the low football IQ’d man behind the clipboard.

No one likes a play-caller that decides to throw on the one-yard line, especially when it cost them a second consecutive Super Bowl win.

Counting on the Defense to Make the Stop

The Green Bay Packers are currently third in the NFC North division at 6-6. The team has not looked like their usual self in 2016, let alone 2015. In 2015, they had an excuse, wide receiver Jordy Nelson‘s season-ending injury. But with Nelson back this year, they still haven’t found their way back among the top franchises in the league.

The Seahawks notorious defense and ‘Legion of Boom‘ could make a long lasting affect if they find a way to crush Rodgers and the Packers offense. They say defense wins championships and this Seahawks defense for sure can help lead the franchise to their fifth consecutive playoff season.

Conclusion

There’s only one factor that can help the Seahawks, and that is consistency. When analyzing the first 13 games of their 2016 season, this is the area that they have struggled the most with. To be able to win against Green Bay, the offense and defense need to figure out a way to snag their ninth win like they’ve done in the past.
