Former Texas Commit Billy Bowman Inks With Oklahoma

Billy Bowman

Oklahoma has seen their success on the field against Texas carry over on the recruiting trail. Wide receiver / kick returner / athlete Billy Bowman has signed his letter of intent with the Sooners after decommitting from the Longhorns.

Who is Billy Bowman?

Bowman is currently the second highest-ranked athlete in the state of Texas. Additionally, he is the 38th ranked recruit in the country as an overall four-star recruit according to the 247 composite rankings. He has the athleticism to fight to get on the field immediately next year as a true freshman.

At 5’10 and 175 pounds he has a solid frame for his body type at the receiver and kick/punt returner position. However, he does play bigger than his size and is known for a physical style of play.

Bowman committed to Oklahoma in November. Comparatively, he had offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers, and Auburn Tigers.
