Oklahoma has signed their one and only target in the 2021 recruiting class at the quarterback position. Caleb Williams signs with the Sooners and Oklahoma looks to have its quarterback of the future.
Who is Caleb Williams?
Williams is currently the highest-ranked recruit in the class. As a five-star recruit as well as the highest-rated dual-threat quarterback in the country. Additionally, he is the sixth-ranked overall prospect in the country according to the 247 composite rankings. Spencer Rattler is entrenched as the starter, but Williams could come in and challenge for a starting spot next season.
At 6-1, 220 pounds he has the prototypical Oklahoma body frame at the quarterback position. His mobility and escapability will remind Sooner fans of Kyler Murray, but with a slightly bigger frame.
Williams committed to Oklahoma in July. He had offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, and Maryland.
