As we roll into Thanksgiving weekend, we have much to be thankful for. In many respects, the college football season has lasted longer than many of us anticipated that it might. Now, we’re in the thick of the Heisman race which is more wide open than it’s been in years. With a revolving door among the leaderboard, each game is more critical than the last. With that in mind, let’s take a look as we unveil our week 11 2020 Heisman rankings.
Trevor Lawrence has been our leader for the majority of the season. However, he hasn’t played in a football game for more than a month. How far has he fallen and how can he reclaim his top spot? The SEC has a logjam between Kyle Trask and Mac Jones and perhaps that won’t be solved until the conference championship game. Justin Fields had the worst performance in his career against Indiana, but can he quickly rebound and put himself back in the race. Having said that, let’s look at the extended leader board in our week 11 2020 Heisman rankings.

Top Five Candidates
1. Kyle Trask
QB | Florida Next Game: 11/28 vs Kentucky
Trask is doing his best to make his Joe Burrow impersonation become a reality in 2020. And, to this point, he has been successful in getting all the way up to the top spot. The Gators host Kentucky this week in a game that Trask figures to name his stats. However, the road gets a little tough as the Gators host Tennesse and travel to LSU to end the regular season.

2. Mac Jones
QB | Alabama Next Game: 11/28 vs Auburn
Jones and the Tide made the most of their return back to the action with a 63-3 drubbing of Kentucky. With the game out of reach early, Jones only threw for 230 yards and a pair of scores. However, that was enough for him to keep pace. He would seem to have a greater opportunity on Saturday as the Crimson Tide host Auburn in the annual Iron Bowl.

3. Zach Wilson
QB | BYU Next Game: 12/12 vs San Diego State
Wilson only completed 10 passes on Saturday but four of those went for touchdowns. But, due to the nature of the opponent, he did not play in the second half against North Alabama. The Cougars have two weeks off until they host San Diego State on December 12th. There are rumors swirling around the Cougars attempting to get another game scheduled before that final game of the season.

4. Justin Fields
QB | Ohio State Next Game: 11/28 at Illinois
After leading the race just two weeks ago, Fields hs slipped to fourth this week after his three-interception performance against Indiana. But, hope is not lost. The Buckeyes would appear to have a cakewalk to the Big 10 championship game as they face Illinois, Michigan State, and Michigan in the last three games of the year. The Buckeyes have a lot to work on but Fields has the opportunity to work himself back into the race.
