Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top ranked commits. Four-star defensive tackle Johnnie Brown has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a huge signing for Florida as Brown is one of the top defensive tackles in the country. Mullen loves Brown’s skill set as he’s a perfect fit and can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators defense. Brown is the one of four defensive tackles to sign with the Gators with Lamar Goods, Jalen Lee, and Johnnie Brown.
Who Is Johnnie Brown?
Johnnie Brown is a four-star defensive tackle out of Sebring High School in Tampa, Florida. The newest Florida signee is one of the top defensive linemen recruits in the country. He was a huge get for the Gators as he was committed for close to a year and remained solid. Brown signed with Florida over Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
On 247Sports, Brown is the 178th ranked recruit and the 15th ranked defensive tackle in the country. On ESPN, Brown is the 180th ranked recruit and the 15th ranked defensive tackle in the country. The Gators have added a top defensive lineman who could really make an impact in the future. David Turner and the Florida coaching staff has done a great job of keeping his solid to Florida.
