The University of Miami has officially signed their quarterback of the 2020 class. Tyler Van Dyke hails from Suffield, Connecticut where he led his team to an undefeated senior season. The Hurricanes and offensive coordinator Dan Enos have a talented passer with a very strong arm. In addition to football, Van Dyke was selected as the Western New England baseball pitcher of the year as a junior.
Tyler Van Dyke Signs Early With The Hurricanes
The 6’4 212 pound quarterback was rated by 247Sports as a top ten player in the state of Connecticut. He impressed during the summer camping period as he was selected as an Elite 11 quarterback. Van Dyke will be graduating high school early to enroll at Miami, where he will try to win the starting position. The Hurricanes need more consistency at the quarterback position and Van Dyke will certainly add to the depth.
After committing to the Hurricanes, Van Dyke was very vocal on social media in trying to recruit players to Miami. Some other schools to offer Van Dyke were Syracuse, UCLA, Purdue, and Boston College.
