Four-Star QB Commit Jalon Jones Signs With Florida

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators have officially signed their top offensive line commit in four-star offensive guard Yousef Mugharbil.

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top offensive commits. Four-star quarterback and Florida commit Jalon Jones has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a big signing for the Gators as Jones was committed to Mullen and Mississippi State and then followed him to the Florida Gators. Mullen likes Jalon’s skill set as he is a perfect fit and can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators offense in the future. This is the second QB Mullen has signed at Florida as Emory Jones signed last class. Jalon Jones is the only quarterback that will sign with the Florida Gators 2019 recruiting class.

Who is Jalon Jones?

Jalon Jones is a four-star quarterback out of Henrico High School in Richmond, Virginia. The Florida quarterback commit is one of the top dual-threat QBs in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Florida had to battle with Ohio State and Mississippi State for Jones. He really took off in recruiting when he had a terrific summer and senior season with his high school team. Jones signed with Florida over Alabama, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee.

On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Jones is the 313th ranked recruit and the 11th ranked quarterback in the country. On ESPN, Jones is the 207th ranked recruit and the 14th ranked quarterback in the country. The Gators have added a really solid quarterback who could really make an impact in the future. Being an early enrollee, Jones will be on campus in January and be able learn the playbook quickly. Jones will probably be behind Feleipe Franks and Emory Jones on the Florida Gators quarterback depth chart.
