Football Friday Tailgate Recipes: Drink Like a Champion

Happy Football Friday we are now 15 days away from the kickoff of the 2021 college football season. It is the perfect time to start collecting some tried and true tailgate recipes.  It is week SIX of the Football Friday Tailgate Recipe. Did you save the Wisconsin Beer & Brats Lombardi Style Recipe?  For week six we have six drink recipes that are perfect for tailgating.  These are all easy drinks that can be made in small, medium, or large batches. Y’all enjoy!

Apple Cider Bellini

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup apple vodka (I used Skyy Honeycrisp Vodka)
  • 1 750ml bottle Champagne or Prosecco
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Mix cider and vodka in a pitcher, then fill add a bottle of champagne and apple slices.
  • Serve poured over ice

Pink Panty Droppers

  • 1 can (12 0z) frozen pink lemonade concentrate, slightly thawed
  • 6 cans (12 0z) Sprite VARIATION: 6 can (12 0z) of cheap beer
  • 2 cups of Vodka
  • Mix lemonade, Sprite or beer, and vodka in a pitcher.
  • Serve poured over ice.

Tailgate Punch (Trisha Yearwood)

  • 1-quart blood orange soda, chilled
  • 2 cups lemonade, chilled
  • 2 -12 oz cans peach nectar, chilled
  • 1 1/2 cups of vodka, optional
  • Mix soda, lemonade, nectar, and vodka in a pitcher.
  • Serve poured over ice.

Tailgate Tea

  • 1 gallon (16 cups) Sweet Tea
  • 1 liter (4.2 cups) bourbon
  • 4 cups pineapple juice
  • 4 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup lemon juice

FOR GARNISH:

  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 of a pineapple, sliced and quartered

Fill a large beverage dispenser half full with ice and the fresh sliced fruits.

Add the sweet tea, bourbon, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice.

Stir to combine and serve.

Wine Spritzers

  • 1 liter of Fresca
  • 1 bottle of cheap red or white wine.
  • Mix Fresca and wine in a pitcher.
  • Serve poured over ice.

Yellow Hammer

  • 4 cups of pineapple juice
  • 3 cups of Orange Juice
  • 1 cup of Amaretto
  • 1 cup of Rum, light
  • 1 cup of Vodka
  • Mix pineapple juice, orange juice, Amaretto, Rum, Vodka in a pitcher.
  • Serve poured over ice.
  • Garnish with maraschino cherries
