Michael Henderson Inks With Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners have officially signed Michael Henderson, a 6-foot-2, 234-pound athlete out of Carrolton, Texas. Henderson is a four-star recruit, per the 247Sports composite. He has offers from Alabama, Georgia, and Arizona State among others.

Henderson has moved around and doesn’t have a true position set for him. He’s played quarterback, running back, and wide receiver in High School. However, he’s dynamic with the ball in his hands. He had 76 touches from a running back and a receiver position and reached the end zone on 19 occasions.

He most likely translated to a hybrid wide receiver or tight end in Lincoln Riley’s system. On film, he looks like a more athletic Lee Morris. His talent is unquestioned and that is evident with his ranking as the ninth-best athlete in the country.

Henderson will find himself in a loaded receiver/tight end room if that’s where he ends up playing this season. However, Riley has had no problem getting freshmen on the field, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him hit the field in some capacity this fall.
