KeAndre Lambert Signs with Penn State

Four-star star wide receiver KeAndre Lambert signs with Penn State today. The Norfolk, VA product made it official on early signing day. Lambert is six-foot-one, runs a four-five forty-yard dash,  and has a 39.30 vertical. He committed to the Nittany Lions on October 4th after taking official visits at both Penn State and North Carolina in the summer. In addition, wide receiver coach Gerad Parker and James Franklin had a home visit with Lambert in September. He had a total of 24 offers, including Big Ten opponents Maryland, Ohio State, Michigan, and Nebraska. Other offers included Clemson, Florida, and Notre Dame.

Lambert Breakdown

While Lambert is six-foot-one and currently weighing in at 176 lbs, he will undoubtedly add muscle after he arrives on campus. He has good size and vision. Further, Lambert is quick. He can change direction on a dime and runs a 3.83 shuttle. Finally, Lambert was awarded MVP honors at The Opening Finals in Washington D.C. in May. All of this is promising for a unit that could be losing KJ Hamler to the draft, leaving Jahan Dotson as the leader in yards behind tight end Pat Freiermuth. If Lambert can develop the way that the coaches want and project him to, the receiving corps may finally be able to utilize more than two receivers throughout the season. This is something that hasn’t happened in several years due to reliability. Overall, the natural talent that Lambert brings is going to be exciting to witness and see grow over the next three to four years.
