All-American LB Diwun Black Signs With Florida

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top defensive commits. Four-star inside linebacker and Florida commit Diwun Black has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a huge signing for Florida as the Gators flipped him from Ole Miss. Florida head coach Dan Mullen likes Hopper’s skill set as he’s a perfect fit and can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators defense in the future. This is the fifth linebacker Mullen has signed in his first two recruiting classes at the University of Florida. Diwun Black is the fourth linebacker in the class with Tyron Hopper, Jesiah Pierre and Mohamoud Diabate.

Who Is Diwun Black?

Diwun Black is a four-star inside linebacker out of Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida. The Florida inside linebacker commit is one of the top linebackers in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Black was previously committed to Mullen at Mississippi State. Black really took off in recruiting once he stepped on to the recruiting scene. Black signed with Florida over Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and USC.

On 247 Sports, Black is the 45th ranked recruit and the third ranked inside linebacker in the country. On Rivals, Black is the 158th ranked recruit and the 14th ranked athlete in the country. The Gators have added an elite outside linebacker who could really make an impact in the future. Black still has some work to do in the classroom but he’s on pace to quality at Florida. The All-American outside linebacker was one of Florida’s top recruiters and didn’t visit any schools out of Florida.
