All-America OT Richard Gouraige Signs With Florida

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of the top offensive lineman in the class. Four-star offensive tackle Richard Gouraige has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a nice signing for the Gators as Gouraige is an elite talent and nobody really knew if he would stick in the class. Florida offensive line coach John Hevesy did a great job of keeping Gouraige who can help out in the next few years. The Gators need help in the trenches since the offensive line struggled for the most part of last season. Gouraige is the fourth offensive lineman with the Florida Gators alongside Noah Banks, Chris Bleich and Griffin McDowell.

Who is Richard Gouraige?

Richard Gouraige is a four-star OT out of Cambridge Christian School in Tampa, Florida. The Florida OT commit was the only recruit to stay committed to Florida when he didn’t sign early in December. He is a big, physical offensive tackle. Gouraige is a really solid offensive tackle with a lot of size and athletic ability. He’s a tough blocker with a nasty attitude and plays tough until the whistle is blown. Gouraige stayed committed to the Florida Gators over the Clemson Tigers and Auburn Tigers.

On the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Gouraige is the 81st ranked recruit and the seventh ranked OT in the country. On ESPN, Gouraige is the 85th ranked recruit and the sixth ranked offensive tackle in the country. The Gators have added a strong offensive tackle who John Hevesy will get the most out of. The signing of Gouraige is a huge deal as the Gators get to keep one of the top recruits and one of the top recruits in the state of Florida.
