Kentucky Recruiting Profile- Yusef Corker

As part of the series looking at Mark Stoops’ 2017 class, the focus of this Kentucky Recruiting Profile in on Yusef Corker.

The 6-0, 173 pound cornerback from Stockridge, Georgia, is a consensus Top 300 recruit by all the recruiting services. ESPN ranks him as the 21st best cornerback in the 2017 class. Corker chose the Cats over Michigan State, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

The Volunteers had long been considered his favorite during his recruitment. However, he gave Stoops and the Wildcats a late Christmas present when he pledged for the Wildcats on December 26th.

During his senior season, he had 30 tackles and three interceptions. Corker also played offense catching 25 passes for 551 yards and four touchdowns.

Corker joins a secondary loaded with talent heading into the 2017 season.  As a result, he will not be expected to play right away.
