ATP French Open Best Bets Including Sinner vs Djokovic

ATP French Open semifinals

Musetti – Alcaraz: Time TBA
H2H: 1-6

Lorenzo Musetti has won five straight matches. The Italian won two opening matches in straight sets this week in Paris. In the second round, Galan had no answer for Musetti’s game. The Italian won in straight sets within two hours. Musetti’s toughest challenge came in the third round when he won the opening set against him. After losing the opening set 4-6, the Italian turned the match around quickly. In the 1/8-Finals, Musetti defeated Rune in four sets. Besides losing the second set 3-6, Musetti was a better player throughout the match. In the quarterfinals, the Italian defeated Tiafoe in four sets.

Carlos Alcaraz has won eleven straight matches. This week in Paris, Alcaraz won against Zeppieri in the opening round in straight sets within two hours. In the second round, Alcaraz defeated Marozsan in four sets. After losing the second set 4-6, the Spaniard stepped up and dominated in the third and fourth sets. In the third round, he defeated Dzumhur in four sets. In the 1/8-Finals, Alcaraz won against Shelton in four tight sets in an exciting match. The Spaniard won against Paul in straight sets in the quarterfinals, losing only five games. Last season, he won the title against Zverev in the final. He is the biggest favourite to win the title this season.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Alcaraz is the big favourite in this matchup, and we partially agree. However, Musetti kept the match tight when they faced each other on clay this season. We expect him to win at least one set.

That being said, Musetti winning at least one set is a value bet.

Sinner – Djokovic: Time TBA
H2H: 5-5

Jannik Sinner has won five straight matches. This week in Paris, Sinner won all four matches in straight sets. En route to the 1/8-Finals, the Italian demolished Rinderknech, Gasquet, and Lehecka in straight sets. Rublev had no chance against the world number 1. Sinner was great under pressure, saving all three breakpoints. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, the Italian demolished Bublik in straight sets. Last season in Paris, the Italian lost against Alcaraz in the semifinals.

Novak Djokovic has won nine straight matches. Two weeks ago in Geneva, Djokovic won the title, defeating Hurkacz in the final in three tight sets. With that win, the Serb secured his 100th ATP title. This week in Paris, Djokovic had it easy until the quarterfinals. The Serb defeated Zverev in four sets after losing the opening set 4-6. Last season in Paris, Djokovic reached the quarterfinals.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Sinner is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. Djokovic played well yesterday, but Zverev gave away so many free points. Sinner is the best player in the world, and we expect him to win easily. His level is just too good for Djokovic.

That being said, Sinner covering the games handicap is a value bet.
