ATP Kitzbuhel Day 3 Predictions Including Sebastian Baez vs Thiago Agustin Tirante

Sebastian Baez in action ahead of the ATP Santiago Open.

Day 3 at the ATP Kitzbuhel Open 2024 sees the top seeds take to court as players get much needed clay court practice after a very short grass court season to prepare for Paris Olympics. There are quite a lot of exciting matches scheduled and as ever, we at LWOT preview and predict the scheduled matches for you. We split all of Wednesday’s matches between this and a separate article.

ATP Kitzbuhel Day 3 Predictions

Nicolas Moreno De Alboran vs Lukas Neumayer

Head to head – First Meeting

Nicolas Moreno De Alboran has played a lot of matches already in the month of July. The American did draw on the match time to put up a solid performance in his first round here despite making his first serve at just 49 percent. He now faces fellow wild card entrant in Lukas Neumayer who played exceedingly well to knock out the fifth seed. Home support should be with Neumayer but Alboran seems slightly more experienced at this level and he should progress bag a well deserved last eight spot.
Prediction: Moreno de Alboran in 3

Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Yannick Hanfmann

Head to head – Etcheverry 1-0 Hanfmann

Both players head into this tournament on the back of similar results post Wimbledon. Tomas Martin Etcheverry is seeded third here and the Argentine is a dangerous player on clay while Yannick Hanfmann is the perennial dark horse at these events. Hanfmann looked good in his first round match and should give Etcheverry a tight fight. Expect Etcheverry to struggle initially but once he finds his range, he should be aggressive enough to wrestle control of the match.
Prediction: Etcheverry in 3

Facundo Diaz Acosta vs Daniel Elahi Galan

Head to head – First Meeting

There are quite a few Argentinian players in the draw with Facundo Diaz Acosta being one of them. Acosta has already won a tournament this year on clay and the 23-year-old looks to be an exciting talent. He now faces the qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan who has been stretched in every match this week and the Colombian has had no momentum in 2024 whatsoever. Expect Diaz Acosta to put up a strong performance as he did in his opening round match.
Prediction: Diaz Acosta in 2

Sebastian Baez vs Thiago Agustin Kirante

Head to head – First Meeting

Sebastian Baez will look to build upon his two titles this year by trying to add a third this week. The Argentine is seeded number one here but he will no doubt be disappointed in his recent results. He faces Thiago Agustin Kirante who is on a decent run of form having reached the semi-finals last week in Bastad. The Argentinian clash should favour Baez though as he is higher ranked and to me seems much more experienced at this level. Expect Baez to win this easily.
Prediction: Baez in 2
