World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz is, after much speculation, finally set to receive his own custom apparel logo from Nike.
Nike’s Next Flagship Star
The six-time Major champion joins the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in tennis, and current global icons such as LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo, in having his own flagship line in sport, as Nike makes its first major move in men’s tennis following Federer’s departure and Nadal’s retirement.
While Alcaraz’s fame and status in tennis meant that news surrounding when Nike would officially brand him had been growing for years, the topic gained real momentum towards the end of 2025, when reports suggested that Nike would make the big reveal at the Nitto ATP Finals.
When that did not happen, many fans were left disappointed. However, Alcaraz soon clarified that those reports were “fake news” and that while work and meetings were ongoing, an exact timeline was still not in place.
“It was fake news, to be honest. I’m still working on it, but I didn’t say anything about launching the logo at the ATP Finals. I had a few meetings and we’re going in a good way, in a good path, to launch the logo as soon as possible. Hopefully I’m gonna get it soon.”
Trademark Filing Signals the Beginning
Now, a month later, it appears things have finally begun to materialise, as Nike has officially filed a trademark application for a logo design spelling “CA.”

The trademark will cover a wide range of apparel and accessories, including footwear, headwear, shirts, jackets, wristbands, sports bags, and backpacks, indicating that Alcaraz will receive the full flagship collection that many have been anticipating.
It is about time the World No.1 gets his own line, especially as he continues his pursuit of a Career Grand Slam in Melbourne. This could also mark the beginning of Nike’s next wave of investment in tennis, with players such as Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka potential candidates for their own custom logo lines in the future.
