Big-serving American Christopher Eubanks announced his retirement on social media. The 29-year-old peaked at a career-high ranking of No. 29 after a breakthrough 2023 season when he achieved a number of firsts. That year, Eubanks made his first Masters quarterfinals in Miami as a qualifier and won his only ATP Tour title in Mallorca. But his most memorable achievement was reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals, where he struck a tournament-record 321 winners. Eubanks banked just under $4 million in career prize money.
5. Lauren Davis
A second American to hang up a racket was WTA player Lauren Davis. As per her last Instagram post, the former World No. 26 was convinced of retirement after losing in the opening round of the 2025 US Open qualifying tournament to a player ranked outside the Top 200. Davis, 32, won two Tour-level titles and earned over $5.2 million in career prize money.
6. Lidziya Marozava
Belarusian WTA player Lidziya Marozava was inactive for over a year. Her last match was at the 2024 French Open in doubles. The 33-year-old is unranked and now lists herself as a former tennis player on her official Instagram account. She has since co-founded a quietly stylish café in Warsaw.
