Cameron Norrie vs Learner Tien: ATP Metz Final Preview, How to Watch

Cameron Norrie and Learner Tien will look to end their seasons perfectly in the ATP Metz final. Norrie is a five-time titlist, while Tien has a chance to win his maiden crown. It occurs on the same day as the ATP Athens final between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti. This article previews the action in Metz and provides information on how to watch worldwide.

Roads to the Final

Norrie had not reached a final since last year’s tournament in Metz before his run this week. He has earned that place by grinding out tough victories in all his matches, overcoming Valentin Royer, Arthur Cazaux, Kyrian Jacquet, and Lorenzo Sonego in deciding sets. Those opening three wins were scrappy affairs in which he did not play his best. By contrast, Norrie produced much excellent tennis to beat Sonego.

Tien, who has enjoyed a breakthrough season that included beating Daniil Medvedev at the Australian Open and reaching the final in Vienna, reached the final without expending as much energy. The only set he dropped was against Matteo Berrettini in the quarterfinal. His other triumphs came against Ugo Blanchet, Moez Echargui, and Vitaliy Sachko.

Match Time and Where to Watch

The final begins at 4:30 PM local time in Metz. Tennis TV subscribers can stream the match through its app and website. Various television networks worldwide will cover the contest, and a list of some of them is provided below.

North America and Australia

  • United States: Tennis Channel
  • Canada: TSN
  • Australia: beIN Sports Australia

Europe

  • United Kingdom: Sky UK
  • Italy: Sky Italia
  • France: Eurosport France
  • Germany, Australia & Switzerland: Sky Deutschland
  • Spain: Movistar

What to Expect

Fans can look forward to several gruelling rallies between two great athletes. Tien is a slightly better ball-striker, but Norrie’s aggression from the baseline has improved. This could go to the wire and be among the most exciting ATP 250 finals this season.
